I think we need a rematch.

Posted: Oct 8 2005, 04:21 PMJust as a general note thing, I think Becky did awsome in our round 3 game against sk8, going up against the roth brothers when our defence was in a miserably shocky state.
3 Cheers for Becky! biggrin.gif

Agreed, we do need to improve on our defense
Our first two games were fine, but I think for that last game we just didn’t have enough experienced players back there. We need to make sure we don’t leave the slot wide open, particularly when the pucks in there.

To be honest, looking at the standings, assuming we beat OBHS tonight (boo the Sykes boys!), we’ll be tied, and competing for 4th on goal difference.
So who knows what could happen, but I’d say one of us is going to make the semis, the other one is going to end up in the tail end.

Posted: Oct 12 2005, 04:54 PMheh, as long as you beat them obhs boys… we nearly didnt, and that shows what the competition is really like… so really, it should still be open to all, and will be really only decided by what happens in the semis…

Bullfrogs ahead of Beasts on goal difference! BULLFROGS! BULLFROGS!

Bullfrogs ahead of Beasts on goal difference! BULLFROGS! BULLFROGS!The Bullfrogs are actually still behind the Beasts on goal differential, unless I’ve screwed the stats up again which I seem to farely regularly blink.gif
The top three teams are now on six points with the Beasts and Bullfrogs on 3 points and OBHS on zip. So the Bears, SK8 and Stars games don’t mean anything next week as they’re automatically into the semis anyway. It’ll be full on for the rest of though! Except for OBHS who are now unable to reach the semis sad.gif

Posted: Oct 13 2005, 08:56 AMSo in theory, not only do we [beasts] have to win next week, we also have to be up in goal differences to get to the semis…. Man, ERIC!!! time to earn your keep!!!!

cool.gifWe’re going to have to have a big game. You’d predict on form, that Bears would beat Beasts, and SK8 would beat bullfrogs. We’re four behind you on goal differential, so I suspect that we’re going to have to topple the form record and have a better result than you – if Beasts lose, we’re going to have to draw, if you draw, we’re going to have to win.
Not an easy task, but if you look back at the SK8/OBHS game – what was that 4-3 to SK8: possible.
Oh how that 4-4 draw to you guys hurts now. We were robbed I tell you, robbed. I want a recount.
‘Scuse me while I run off to Logan Park and cause some unfortunate injuries to the Roth boys.

We’re four behind you on goal differentialNo, I’m pretty sure we’re ahead by only two points.
