    I might suggest thunder have performed to their potential in the past but unfortunately their potential didnt match the  potential of other teams played. In saying that the level of potential is higher this year than it has been in the past especially when our 12 NHL import players arrive.

    Why would a team put 12 imports on te roster when you can only play 5 per game?

    i do believe its tongue and cheek however I think thunder have 6 imports.

    i was just looking at the devils roster on the prior page and see no Argyle?? i hear he is in CHCH and thought he would be playing for the devils this year

    I think Hayden is figuring out what he wants to do first.  Devils can only name those who trial or express interest (IB’s, imports etc).

    Anyone know how the admirals are looking this year? Sounds like its going to be the season the league needs. Looking forward to some close hard fought games.
    I hope argyle plays, he brings an element of excitement to our games that would be lagging if he doesnt play. considering James Van Leeuwan is coaching and not playing

    Admirals will be a similar squad as last year with a few changes.  Different coach I think.  I wouldn’t expect drastic changes to the team except tactics might change.

    is that 3 teams with new coaching staff this year? thunder, admirals and red devils? any others fresh in that department?

    i think this year there could be some big upsets this year and by the sounds of it alot of compition for the top

    Someone needs to pick up Argyle, he is a great NZ hockey personality
    I think the league would be lacking, if you weren’t fearing those black eyes of death…..

    Although I am already looking forward to the Rout-Tom Wilson battle….

    Anyone got any inside word on how admirals are looking?
    I hear the Swarm picked up 3 finns, on the IBs recent tour….

    Yeah hopefully we get an NZIHL were everyone is there or there abouts

    im personally picking tom over rout, if anyone saw his eyes of fire last year in auckland vs the swarm, you would know theres a lot of pent up aggression in there that will one day find its way through his fists. and im not kidding, even i was scared and he was sticking up for me

    Have any of you seen the Thunder imports playing?

    I heard bad reports about one of them being kinda slow. I haven’t heard anything about the rest though.
