Don’t you worry Plod, we have been paying attention what happens up in the northern reaches of the country.
The Admirals appear to have imploded….we need to to a recruitment drive on here for some aucklanders, we only have NZice is it?
Where was he with updates?
June 28, 2010 at 1:31 am #15764jamrockMembertwo awesome physical games in queenstown, first game was a close game, more so than the score reflected and in my opinion the first game was closer than the second.
queenstown crashed me a lot which lead to 4PIMS for me over the weekend ” title=”Grin” />

[/quote:3iqaoadp]tie at the end of regulation is one point for both teams. OT win is another point.
June 28, 2010 at 4:11 am #15766KyleMemberYeah, but OTW and OTL are there. So there’s no such thing as a tie, just an overtime loss or win.

June 30, 2010 at 10:53 pm #15769Azzy77ModeratorDoes anyone know what happened with Bert Haines in Queenstown?
How come he sent from the Ice at the opening faceoff, for a game misconduct the previous game? But then allowed to return at the start of the second, does that make any sense??
Surely the ban if it needed to be a ban applies to whole game, not a period?
June 30, 2010 at 11:24 pm #15770plod16MemberThe automatic game suspension for getting a misconduct in last 10 was removed from the NZIHL Rules and Regs this year. GONE!!!
He got a 5+GM for roughing at the 4:57 in the third period of the game on the 26th.
He is listed in score sheet for both games with different numbers, a typo possibly or did he have blood on his jersey?
Maybe he just felt guilty?
June 30, 2010 at 11:31 pm #15771Azzy77ModeratorIf queenstown put him in different number, perhaps they feared him being removed?? Or like you say maybe blood on jersey?
Anyone in queenstown shed any light on this? Thanks for clearing up Auto game suspension Plod…
I was just going off game report on NZIHL.com that said he was kicked off ice from opening faceoff?
“The game got off to a bizarre start when the Stampede defenceman and Ice Black Bert Haines who had been assessed a Game Misconduct late in the previous game was sent to the changing room at the opening face-off” (http://www.nzihl.com)
It then goes on to say he was allowed to return in 2nd period.
So I presume it wasn’t just out of guilt? As he is unlikely to kick himself out from opening faceoff?
July 1, 2010 at 12:01 am #15772plod16MemberBert is listed on all the other score sheets as playing in number 2.
The stats people will need to be careful and align any penaltys that he gets/got while wearing #20 to the correct person. Don’t think that Steven Reid wants ALL those penalties against his name!
Be interested to find out who made the decision to send him off.
