And it is official!!! Don Cherry made the prediction at the start of the season and he is now correct. It will be the Anaheim Ducks vs. the Ottawa Senators fighting for the toughest trophy is all of sports, The Stanley Cup. Starts Monday @ 5pm pacific. (Tuesday for us at noon down here in New Zealand). GO SENS GO!!!!!!
May 23, 2007 at 4:20 am #3203JoeMemberShould we start a new poll? (or edit the old one?) I like the odds now that we’re in the finals….
Gee, Ryan, who are you cheering for?
May 23, 2007 at 4:47 am #3204rookie19MemberMy prediction for the cup finals: Ottawa to finally take the cup home to Canada, where it belongs. Id say theyl win it in 6 games at home in Ottawa.
Jason Spezza to step it up a notch and net a few key goals for the boys in red, with the top line of Alfredsson, Heatley and Spezza lighting it up and proving too strong for the now not so “mighty” Ducks!
Ryan, is there anywhere we can get a projector and watch the game live? Joe offered his house and told me he would be willing to shout beer for everyone. Hes such a nice guy.
May 23, 2007 at 6:19 am #3205matt aMemberyeya id be keen for that a, when do the games start?

[/quote:1dzr4rm3]Thanks,(I think) is there any chance at all skynet will show the games?
May 23, 2007 at 9:02 am #3207Azzy77ModeratorI don’t know about skynet, they are probably too busy developing the Terminator to broadcast live hockey games, but maybe…
As for the retard factory we call Sky tv, there doesn’t appear to be any Hockey on their schedule, however that doesn’t neccessarily mean there will be no Hockey, as last year it wasn’t scheduled, it just miraculously appeared on the box when Stanley Cup started, however I suggest you pray your wee hockey loving hearts out, and/or flood sky with Irate, preferably threatening enough to get their attention, but not threatening enough to go to jail, Ryan may want to cover imprisonable letters, cos as we all know I am far to pretty for prison.

[/quote:eyekhm0h]you’re never too pretty for prison azza and i hear/know the pretty ones are the most popular anyways, so no worries. haha can’t get over the skynet call, poor joe, hes a nice guy at heart you know. For a stay at home dad, that is. nah you’re awesome joe. Even if you do stay at home all day and do nothing except sit around and wonder who’s at the rink while your woman saves the world and brings home the salted pork commonly referred to as bacon.
May 23, 2007 at 9:41 am #3209battered_and_bruisedMemberAll game times will be at noon New Zealand time. Is it me or does no one else care cause the Sabres are out? Damn Bandwagon people. (I’m not refering to you Steffi Pooh cause you jumped to the winning band wagon.) I’m not to sure who I’m cheering for actually lol. OF COURSE I’M GOING FOR THE SENS!!!!! I’ve being going for them since they got into the playoffs in 1997 and lost in 7 games to those damn freakin Sabres. Long time Sens fan I am. They are my eastern Canadian team. I think it will be Alfy taking the Conn Smythe. This could also be a first in the history of the NHL if the Sens when. A european captain winning the Cup. Never has happened. But it will this year. I will be able to watch games 1-3 but not 4 or 5 cause I’ll be on posting. DAMN THIS VILE SCHOOL!!!!!!! Maybe I should call in sick when the Sens have 3 wins lol.

[/quote:3iyeivt4]Dang, Kiwispeak is not an easy thing to master. WTH is skynet then? And what is a retard factory?
I also nominate Ryan for the threatening letters. Maybe we should send Sky tv the remnants of Ryan’s stick from last night as warning.
Retard Factory! That’s funny. Jonathon Cheechoo is from Moosefactory.
May 23, 2007 at 12:03 pm #3211Azzy77ModeratorJust to clarify Joe
Skynet is a fictional computer network created by Cyberdyne Systems Corporation for Strategic Air Command-North American Aerospace Defense Command and is the unseen main villain in the Terminator series of films.
Hence my suggestion that skynet would be too busy developing the Terminator to broadcast live hockey.
Retard Factory, just popped into my head, when I was thinking how to describe Sky tv, I thought it was nice, since it seems to be a building where they make retards who cannot broadcast a good sport line up to save themselves.
Thank You
End TransmissionMay 23, 2007 at 12:14 pm #3212rookie19MemberHaha nice call Joe, Ry’s stick was looking pretty unhealthy, i suggested therapy or seeing an anger management councelor? It sucks how we cant get these dam games, bloody new zealand and its love for rugby. They show horse racing, world dart events and amateur poker tournaments, and no disrespect to those sports, but they arent anywhere near the level that Stanley Cup Finals hockey is at!
Ryan: I, like you; have jumped on the Ottawa bandwagon, i like how after the Canucks lost (may they rest in peace), a senators profile picture mysteriously appeared under your name!!!! ’tis a shame them Sabres lost however, but theres always next year?
I think we should get peoples opinions about goals horns for this weekend for Stampede, as some of u may know, Ryan is the Rink Announcer for the game which is good, someone with a bit of passion for the game of hockey should make for some great announcing!
May 24, 2007 at 12:26 am #3213battered_and_bruisedMemberBand wagon my ass!!!!!! I’m a Sens fan since 1997. I can even recall the game that they won to get into the playoffs. THEY BEAT BUFFALO!!!!!!!! and IT WAS IN OVERTIME!!!!!!!!!!! Then I have been let down by them the many times they ran into those damn Maple Leafs --> Then they come oh so close in 2003…Shall I continue? No cause I have proven myself as a sens fan and not a band wagon jumper!!!!!!! Yes I do agree with the polling of goal horns but the problem is, the games are this weekend and ther is no time to ge them on and ge peoples opinions plus I don’t know how people can listen to them. I’ve narrowed it down to 4 choices. Colorado, the Ottawa Sens 2007 set, Canucks 2006 set, Canucks 2007 set Washington 2007 and Winnipeg Jets. Oh and for all you old timers out there, THERE WILL BE THE BRASS BONANZA!!!!!! Whipping out the old Hartford Whalers theme!!!! BOYA!!!
May 24, 2007 at 2:01 am #3214ActiveMemberJust to divert here, I understand That Rookie 19 otherwise known as Stefan King has made it into the Stampede and therefore should be playing this weekend. I think a congrat’s is in order because of the short time span that Stefan took to reach the top level from where he started last year. Just shows what dedication, enthusiasm, commitment, drive and lots & lots of girls hanging around you can achieve.
