I made a comment about NZ teams being less skilled than Aus teams but I see that as a plus because to improve you need to play better players/teams so NZ teams have more to gain

Aus outplayed the NZ team im afraid. They always looked in control and were better skilled individually and  team wise

No kyle tiaha are not spears , they are clubs and yes encourage them to weld clubs and maybe even poke out their tongues at them but its ok because its all in the name of culture. Im  thinking sticks slapped on the ice in unision would sound cool

I spoke to someone at lunch who saw hockey for the first time. Said it was fun, highly skilled, fast, too many american voices saying too much during the game, it lacked emotion but has now decided to watch NZ play in two weeks time

Hmm. 20,000 plus people who had never seen ice hockey before, unprecedented exposure for ice hockey dovetailing nicely into the winter  games matches, sell out games, people who have never seen ice hockey before going along to watch NZ soon because they couldnt afford get a seat at the “Canada vs USA” game. Douglas Webber making shitloads of money, what can I say.
I met Douglas Webber and he was egotistical,  arrogant, thick skinned, hardworking, self promoting, visionary, driven and sucessfull, I liked him

Promoters who bring over the likes of Elton John are not doing it because they love Elton or they want to grow an appreciation of his music or  encourage the acceptance of gay entertainers , They do it to make money, money, money, no other reason. Thats why they are called promoters, so its a rather empty argument you use re the good of hockey. If it makes you feel better he will be losing lots of money in Christchurch apparently. Something to do with earthquake syndome rather than indignation its not good for hockey though
