Seem to recall a certain Stampede player earning a suspension by throwing his helmet at the crowd in recent times
ActiveMemberOnce while reffing a mixed game Chris pushed a midget out of the way going for the puck and I gave him 2 minutes citing the ” big man on little man” penalty call. The scorers looked confused,… in fact so did Chris. But as long as you look confident when calling it its OK.
ActiveMemberEaden always seems to be grinning. Cant see him getting to worked up. I like the rule which states the second player in to a fight gets kicked out of the game. That way when two people get into a fight everyone stands off knowing if they join in thats the end of the game for them. Then 2 people can punch each others chest protectors and helmets till their hearts desire. I dont think even OSH could come up with a safer way to have a fight
ActiveMemberThe swarm guy fought like a typical Canadian hockey player. First you incapacitate your opponent by pulling their jersey over their head then whilst holding the opponents jersey in place with one hand start hitting them while they cant see with the other
ActiveMemberIts also fair to say that if the Erewhon was held in Tekapo or Naseby we would have fielded two teams
ActiveMemberIt aint being concreted
ActiveMemberThe ice floor will be sand based which is nothing wrong with that because it will be based on the Dunedin rink floor design though still with the same existing compressors, As for the boards that is a wait and see as to the economics but it could be that they will be reinstated as is.
ActiveMemberIce Sports Dunedin which consists of Ice skating, curling and Ice Skating are the owners of The Dunedin ice rink. The clubs have control over the running of the rink via the ISD board. This setup gives us huge advantages not to mention flexibility when it comes to prioritising ice sports over making money or applying for funding for example. We are also well supported by our City Council who see the benefit of having this facility. I am not sure what the status of Naseby, Gore and Alex is. Christchurch is in the bussiness of making a buck for its owner and I understand that logic given he is about to plough lots of money back into the ice floor and needs a return on his dollar. Christchurch rink has no council backing nor sources of community funding to apply to like Dunedin hence running time in the last period in order to fit in a public session. I presume Auckland is the same.
ActiveMember4-2 to thunder after 2 periods I heard

I thought positive and it just appeared!ActiveMemberBunch of sorry asses here. If you knew your quantum physics everyone would think positive thoughts, project a positive outcome and then according to Oprah your thoughts become reality. I say 2 nil to the thunder
ActiveMember2 nil to the Devils

Im going to stick my head on the line here and say and make a broad generalisation statement based on some vague assumptions
