Id go if I could get in free otherwise Id much rather see a NZIHL or NZ vs Aus game as there is more emotional involvement. This game is more about entertainment for people who probably havnt seen ice hockey which is a good thing in my opinion

“I don’t trust them and will not applaud them if it goes off well.”

    Thats a kinda weird statement.

I would hazard a guess that the ones taking shots at the refs dont actually do much if any reffing. I ref and I know how easy it is to make a cock up no matter how prepared you are. You learn and move on knowing what to do next time but the last thing I would do is critisize another refs decision making. If I were to make an observation it would be about the amount of time some refs take to make a decision while play is stopped. It is a big learning curve which only experience can teach

Put some kiwis dressed as  Canadians and Americans. They can speak with fake accents  and know one will ever know!

Ow Jamrock! opening a can of worms there. Maybe you could have added women dont skate well because it was during the first period.
Personaly I dont have any problem as long as their skating skills (male & female) are equal to the speed of the game

“Criminals” is  a value judgement. Anyway enough said

It wasnt the accolades I was making the point about. It was adding value to others I was stressing.

And just tell me who benefits from cancellation? all the 1000,s of people who have tickets who are looking forward to their first ice hockey game perhaps? or maybe the Dunedin ice Stadium because they didnt really need that exposure anyway? Maybe Ice hockey doesnt really need any exposure at all and  we should  let it be run by people who like to discuss  all the negatives

I cant believe you  said that.

Are these guys criminals? do you know something we dont?  What crime did they commit?

big judgement calls there V Patrol

Albert Einstien (a rapper I think) had a quote something like “measure yourself not by accolades you receive but by the value you add to other peoples lives”
I  questioned the value of your actions and how much it adds to other peoples lives and I dont see much benefit.

As I said about the commerce commision, thanks Paul
How about you guys stop whingeing ( because thats how I see it ) dont bother going along to the games but see it as an opportunity for people to see an ice hockey game of pretty good quality regardless of the smoke and mirrors by the promoters. Theres something like 2500 tickets sold to the Dunedin game and shit loads people who have never seen ice hockey are going along and are going to go away thinking that they have watched a great spectacle and maybe will go along to support the thunder in future. This is good for the game for Petes sake. If your values about marketing are so offended how about directing your energies toward something meaningfull like drug companies who make enourmous profits from drugs that either dont work or damage  people , or maybe all the chemicals that get pumped into  animals  that we eat or perhaps the the by product of aluminum smeltering called flouride being mass medicated to us,  not  flipping ice hockey marketing “puffery” . Try getting some perpective people

I dont think the Commerce Commision would investigate that either Azzy but who knows. Hey Chris I saw you reffing. Thats quite funny and ironic. Good to see youve managed to compensate for that lean to the right when skating

I dont think the comics commision would be particuly interested in this. There are much larger things out there folks, you know, global warming, ocean ecosystem collapse, people intent on killing others, breakfast….
