Dear Stefan And Ryan
Im really, really sorry but I wont be turning up neither cause my body hurts from last nite and Ive got more games to play over easter. Also the most pain would be inflicted by my spouse because I would always be away playing hockey and she doesnt like that, says something like “ice hockey widow” to me and frowns really really deeply.
lots of really really sincere apologies GrahamActiveMemberHave an extra player now in Michael Cop. Played for our Masters team but super fit and Canadian. Looks like the Juniors could use him
ActiveMemberHey!
you dont need two feet to paint. Tell him if he really wanted to get out of painting the house he needs to break both arms as well.
Hope his surgery goes well and he recovers in time to play next week.ActiveMemberHey Ryan
I’d recruited Mat Newton And Sam Smith to our team . Id also asked Ben (Welsh) and as he hadnt being asked by anyone he agreed. I do need two of them otherwise we will struggle for numbers.ActiveMemberIm gonna presume so. They are down on the floor to the right of the door. Only people with keys are allowed in there so no one is going to take them. There is a possibility they may be hired to someone mistakenly on wednesday night before you arrive.
Did the mathematican forget to count how many elbow pads to put in his bag.ActiveMemberI was watching with Larry N or “Russian Larry” as he is now known, and he made the comment in the first period that fitness would tell in the end. So it was but a very really entertaining game to watch nontheless. We seem to have a couple of good Defence men that will match it with the best and Mike Sam looked pretty sharp.
ActiveMemberProblem solved thanks Ryan.
Ryan: can I suggest you change the suckerfish thing. Everytime I look at a page my eye gets drawn to the word “suckerfish” . This word both sucks and smells. Perhaps a shorter blander caption as equally leftfield.ActiveMemberI think Kyle is right.
With practices kicking in this week and DIHL starting soon, numbers will drop. We can re-visit sunday nites once we have a clearer idea of what numbers will attend.ActiveMemberI have a heat gun. If you wish to borrow it ph me Graham 4776817(w)
ActiveMemberHello folks
A trickey situation but one that needs to be aired because it will arise again.
Firstly remember this is an open forum subject to everyone reading it including the rink management so it pays to be very political in what one posts here.
I see the main issue as this: The Dunein Ice Hockey Club of which most of us readers will be paid up members soon, has a stake in the running and ownership of this rink under the guise of “Ice Sports Dunedin” or “ISD”.ISD hired Neil to run a successfull bussines because if we dont the ice rink will not exist.
If you run a skate bussiness in competiiton in effect you take money away from the rink which in turn supports the Hockey Club. Indirectly you are taking money from your own Hockey club. The issue with sharpening skates rinkside probably has more to do with availability of the service rather than one of quality .
That was as political as I can getActiveMemberJust a quick note to any who plays and practices tonight
To get down to the changing rooms walk down the seating side and past the groomer to access the changing rooms.
to go onto the ice walk back past the groomer to the gate on the nearest bench then onto the iceActiveMemberIm pretty certain another Dunedin SNC team shall be entered . Probably a Beasts tamer team stacked full of Canadians who spend most of their time at the university or being towed around by dogs
ActiveMemberA message to all our old folk out there (masters) The scheduled practice has been bumped from tommorow night. It may be available thursday night but will keep you posted.
ActiveMemberYes indeed that is true. Ice is being prepared for masters curling so no sunday hockey this week. back on again next sunday.
ActiveMemberIce is booked for the next two wednesdays the 30/1 And 6/2 at 6.30 pm for masters practice.
