I thought if I hypothesised some ridiculous excuse for a loss, the real analysts amongst us would come out of the woodwork and give some real reasons.
I though one of the major differences was the contrasting D-zones. As my Granddad (who has never watched a game of ice hockey before) said whenever you were shooting on their goalie he had a whole bunch of his team mates helping him out, whereas the Thunder goalie was left by himself making it hard.
Also Thunder showed signs of panic a lot getting rid of the puck more quickly then required.
Also I am not sure why the officials deemed it necessary to tackle the thunder players so often? Mike Ceelan took out our Dman in the first period, and Paul Scott got Damo quite good in the 3rd. Perhaps I haven’t read my rulebook lately but I don’t think that’s how you officiate a game.
Also most of the crowd I have talked to asked me if their will be a fight every game, because they loved it….I myself felt it was poorly timed on Thunders behalf, as we were making good progress when it happened, and that 5 mins of 3-3 didn’t really help us.
this has potential for awesome, epecially bit charging out changing room, could go to face off, the shot or something and then a gol is scored, at which point stick is launched and wide angle shot shows players celebrating

What stampede have gained in a great goalie, they have lost in one of the finest exponents of hockey statistics in the National league today, second perhaps only to me.I mean I would go on 60 minutes to tell my tale, but I am afraid with all his fame aston might not acknowledge that he once knew me.

Well I believe the seating caters for like (just estimates) bottom stands (200+200)? and maybe 1200 in the balcony….so thats like 1600
I would imagine that the general populous is not getting into the big empty balcony, its probably reserved for sponsors or corporates, if it is used at all during games, it requires extra staff to be put on. Yeah I agree with Vpatrol on this one, you can support one team but think another will win. Its Heart vs Head.
Private residence….I not big fan of terrave anymore since, they booted my mates out for not ordering drink to watch olympics, because they were waiting for me to arrive.

Yeah I think both teams were at fairly full strength, Dunedin lost Damien Watson in the 1 st period, so required so tweaks to the lines.I think all four goalies played pretty well. There was some epic saves being pulled all over the place.
I had trouble making it to the changing room, with all the fans crowding the door looking for autographs…
This does certainly bode well for a tight season.
Yeah, and I am not sure of the merits of buying cheap crappy mouthguards as opposed to expensive yet great mouthguards, based on your inability to remember you have taken it out of your mouth.
The same logic should dicatate you buying only $100 cars Thirteen seeing as every car you have you crash so instead of losing $10000 you lose $100
Yeah all you guys complaining about mouth guards probably wearing the $5 model from the warehouse right.
Well if you invest a bit of cash (and I admit they are expensivish) you can pick up a properly fitted mouthguard from a dentist, and you can talk and you can breathe and it feels just like you not wearing one at all.
