P.S. This should be put back on a public viewing area so people can see the bullshit that Neil causes at the rink. This isn’t the first time something like this has ahppened and I think for the good od the club, rink and other ice sports, people have a right to know that the way he is treatin us is unfair and should be dealt with. The more public support me and Stefan get, the better.

Here is the response that was given to Neil today:

    Dear Neil,

We are sorry that you feel that we are undermining the rink. That was
certainly not our intention. We just wanted to fill an obvious need for
the ice hockey players. They need to have their skates sharpened on a
regular and reliable basis, particularly before important games. While we
were working for SK8, there were a lot of complaints about the lack of
skate sharpening at the rink — people were just unable to get their
    skates sharpened when required.

We feel that we both contribute a lot to ice hockey in Dunedin. For
example, we both volunteer a lot of our time to coaching young ice hockey
players. We feel that your letter was somewhat harsh towards us.

In our view, your proposed actions against us involve at least two
violations of the Commerce Act 1986. We kindly ask you to reconsider your
position, which we believe to be totally illegal. We also understand that
the rink is subsidised by the Dunedin City Council, which would certainly
not want to be seen as supporting such an anti-competitive policy as you
    propose to take.

    Yours sincerely,

    Ryan Wick Stefan King

Yeah cheers. It’s not like we are earning bug bucks for it and we are not selling any gear. We just want it on here so people can see. This has nothing to do with the DIHA, it’s more between Stefan and I and Neil. If the DIHA choses to get involved, then we will cross that bridge whe we come to it. Untill then, since this is a public forum, I thought it would be an idea to show the bullshit that he is trying to put us through now. (Pardon my french)

For now yeah that would be helpful. Cheers.

Stefan will play out if needed.

in reply to: Easton Cup #7850

Well I know with those hot jerseys that we got last year, The Thunder will enter a team in the Prems grade, if that doesn’t happen, then I guess we will play in the SNC

in reply to: Easton Cup #7844

I’ve got a list for the prems team that will be entered in so I’ve got those guys.

There is a reason there has been not a lot of info given out and that’s because there will be something coming nout around the date the team is named. So I wouldn’t try to fish anything out. Once the info is ready to be let out, it will be.

If you are serious then come out. One practice won’t hurt. Once you see where the level is at, make the choice.

in reply to: Dunedin Practice for NZIHL #7788

This is officially training for the Dunedin Thunder squad or players serious about making the NZIHL team this year. It would be prefered that players attending are actually  serious about training and making this team as opposed to simply using this ice time for extra training.

in reply to: Dunedin Practice for NZIHL #7784

I looked in Neil’s magical book or wonder and we are booked in for training this Tuesday. So we are training according to the book.

in reply to: NHL All-Star Weekend #7825

Maybe Tom that before this All-Star game that the MVP for the past 3 years has been on the losing team.

2007: Briere (Buffalo), East lost to West 12-9
2004: Sakic (Colorado, West lost to East 6-4
2003: Heatly (Atlanta), East lost to West 6-5 in a Shootout.

So Tom, if you are going to come up with facts, I suggest you do some research first before stating things that are just not true. Oh and if you watched the game, you might agree the Nash was more deserving of the MVP then Staal.

in reply to: NHL All-Star Weekend #7823

Well I don’t know about how many all star games you guys have watched but that was one of the best ones that I have witnessed. End to end action and it was bloody close. 5-1 for the east after the 1st period then 5-3 for the east after the 2nd. Then the west comes back and takes the lead twice before the east ties it then Marc Savard scored the winner with 20 seconds left in the 3rd from a beauty pass from Eric Staal. Stall would then go on to get the MVP and the truck. Personally I thought that Rick Nash, who got the hat trick, should have got the MVP. Oh well. Twas an entertaining game non the less and the commentary by Rick DePietro and Manny Legace was rather amusing.

Here’s another site that you can use to watch it. I’d put these into favorites cause you can see regular season games once the All-Star weekend is over.
