We will find these out I believe tonight. We are having a meeting after practice to go over what the time lines are for when we have to name the team and trials ECT. We will also be discussing how we can best accommodate the out of town players. So once I have all that info, I’ll put it on here.

Don’t know if this has been said and I’m sure it has, but I’ll say it anyways. If there is going to be any IIHF events in North America, then they will use North Maerican ice sizes, which are smaller. This is mainly due to the fact that it is cheaper to run. This was researched by the people doing the 2010 games for Vancouver and they saw the cost to convert GM Place to international sizes would cost up-words to around $10 Million. A little too pricey. So basically this is just a money saving thing rather then hockey quality. It also has to do with seating. Those seats at an NHL right along the ice go for about $200. To take those out would mean lost revenue for the league and what not. The NHL and the Olympics are money making businesses and any extra money they can take in looks good for them. So those are most likely the main reasons for the change in IIHF events in North America.

This going to be the last one? I know the ice show is next weekend and I imagine that there will be no hockey then.

The Thursday practices were only suppoesed to happen twice, but since the ice show crap, it got held over for another week and [b:15gxv24j]TODAY[/b:15gxv24j] Jackie just booked it in for Tuesdays. So from now on, the Thursday night practices are now switched to Tuesday. If someone is going to post up time changes and they want to make sure, is it really that hard to pick up a phone and call the rink to find out the times? I mean it is in Neil’s little book of magical happenings which he keeps in the office so everyone can see. Either that or call up Jackie as a last resort. For the love of god, don’t just post things up for the hell of it, double check it first. This little mishap today could have been avoided if Ryan (not me) picked up a phone and called the rink… As for the game, it is not on because of the ice show stuff. Merci d’écouter moi des commentaires. Laisse la prise peu plus de soin le moment prochain où signalant la session chronomètre. Si vous voulez traduire ceci, allez : http://babelfish.altavista.com/

in reply to: Wednesday Night Hockey #7558

Yeah I was right there and I thought it was goin to be booked for 8pm because of that practice. Hans was booking it. Either Stefan or I will check it tomorrow night at our practice.
