Yes it is official…speaking of which, you think we could make a Thunder website at some point?
battered_and_bruisedMemberOkay that’s fine. Liam is also gone from the Reds because of school.
battered_and_bruisedMemberSent off the request, I’ll post it on once I get it back
battered_and_bruisedMemberWell Like I said, I know people have reasons and they are probably god ones, but seriously it’s a waste of time as coming down to coach 5 people. If people let me know, then I can make the call whether to nix training or not. I mean it’s not a lot to ask for.
battered_and_bruisedMemberYeah that locker website is not great. Just looked and they are pretty low on gear. Everything they have sk8 has, but yes I agree with Regan. Go overseas. They are a lot better informed about gear and have better selection. If you also go over seas, I recommend teaming up with someone else to share the shipping costs.

That’s another good site.battered_and_bruisedMemberI don’t know when it’s supposed to be on but TV3 did a story on the game and the Ice Blacks and it was supposed to be on the news on Sunday but it wasn’t. If it does come on and you get the link from the website, can someone post it?
battered_and_bruisedMemberWow, you really know how to make a first impression with your possible new team mates don’t you? I really like the way you come down and criticise us right away even after the fact we were put together at the last minute and did get a systems run down 6 minutes before the game. Think you could maybe point out any positives from the game for us? Or was it just the Ice Blacks all the time? That is a rhetorical question by the way. I know that the entire team that played that night were very happy with our performance and the Ice Blacks players and coaches were also impressed with our team.
battered_and_bruisedMemberTo be honest, those Thunder jerseys are sexy.
battered_and_bruisedMemberIt was a great game to play in as well. The shots were pretty close at the end of the 1st with the Ice Blacks leading those 7-5. Fitness was the main reason why the game opened up. They were a hell of a lot more fit then us. Lets hope that first period though gives them a wake up call for the world champs.
battered_and_bruisedMemberAaron my friend, you are playing the entire game for the Ice Blacks. Think of it as your chance to play for your country…maybe the only time in your life you will get to play for them lol.
battered_and_bruisedMemberI don’t think so, but don’t quote me on it
battered_and_bruisedMemberThanks Kyle, I wasn’t sure myself. That does sound correct. So the deal is under 16 and there will be 2 teams this year in midgets. There will be a junior midget, for those players just coming up from pee wees and a few of last years younger midgets. The Senior team will be made up of mostly last years midgets. I know that I am taking the senior midgets and I think Stefan is takin the junior midgets. The practices will be combined though. Hope that helps everyone. Again, I am just telling people what I’ve been told.
battered_and_bruisedMemberNot my fault. I’m just the messenger boy. I was just told today.
battered_and_bruisedMemberHey guys, Stefy here,
The only reason we are sharpening skates is basically to help everyone out. We are not making much from it at all, theres no way its even close to a job, and anyone can call or txt at any time during the day to arrange a skate sharpen.
Basically we are making up for the rink not providing the service. The solution is simple, so I dont know why Neil has such an issue with what we are doing: When the rink has somebody to sharpen peoples skates on a regular basis, we no longer need to sharpen skates, as they can all be done at the rink: its as simple as that. However presently there is not someone in that position. Im sure James and Steve do not mind sharpening the odd pair of skates, but we are talking about a lot of people wanting sharpens, especially as the DIHL and other leagues pick up.
Last year many people came to SK8 as we sharpened when they wanted them done, right there and then. If they had a game that night, they were ready to go for that night. Many people came in with new skates they had purchased from the rink that had not been sharpened, although sometimes they had been informed that they had been(??!!) I just dont see why the machine at the rink is not used more, as Its far better than the one we have here! My understanding (correct me if I am wrong) is that fundraising went into purchasing that machine, why is it not used more, does anyone know? Stories people have told of their skates sitting for a week at the rink and never being sharpened…
Anyway the letter was kind of insulting but whatever, there are a lot of other points that I could raise, but Il shut my mouth while im still allowed to skate on the amazing slab of ice we have.
Peace all,
