Anyone reading this from the Stampede or Swarm camps? We’d love to hear your opinion on it, so don’t be shy!

putting the puck in the net is paramount too.  Don’t want to see admirals getting 10 save shutouts.  Proof will be in the pudding.

Too true. You can play fantastic hockey, but at the end of the day you need your number to be bigger than theirs.

That’s true, but Bonazzo is a very strong player, and without him the Admirals lineup doesn’t look so flash. I’m sticking with my 3-1 for the thunder.

I’m going with stampede 2-0. Stampede are looking very strong this season, and I’m going to go with the crowd on a Stampede / Red Devils duel to the death for the top spot.

As I move into the realms of NHL Stardom, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the person who has always believed in me, always been there for me, always picked me up when I fell and gave me the courage to reach this incredible milestone….

    … Myself.

    Thanks Chris. You’re awesome. Mwah!

I guess we’re all more or less in agreement then.

Generally if a discussion looks as though controversial “inside” information is being disseminated, we may choose to require the poster to identify themselves.

This may not mean making their identity public, merely proving their identity to the Admin team so that we can then hop into the discussion and say, “Yeah, this guy does have an inside line on what’s happening here…”

Stampede Site: Very nice. Simple and easy to use.

Renegades Site: Slick, very slick indeed. Apart from a little unnecessary javascript, quite nicely built too. Not sure why so many people use javascript for rollovers when CSS does it so nicely, but either way, a very nice looking site indeed!

[quote:aji4e6lt]Thunder will have to keep a couple on the leash not to give away penaltys [/quote:aji4e6lt]

I think controlling penalties does seem to be an issue for the Thunder, for whatever reason. Certainly playing 4 v 5 all the time is going to take its toll, both on the players and the scoreline.

Aaron made a good point to me that anonymity is ok, but it really detracts from certain conversations. For example, we could be having a discussion about President Obama’s multi-trillion dollar deficit, and I can come along and say, “Well, actually I’m a member of Obama’s secret inner cabal, and the real story is:…”. If I posted that anonymously, it becomes a big discussion about who I am and whether or not I have any right/basis to say those things, yadda yadda yadda, whereas if my identity is confirmed as, say, Nancy Pelosi, then you guys know that what I’m saying is the real mccoy and the discussion can flow on accordingly.

Just while we’re on the topic of Ryan and coding, you guys might like to know that Ryan is actually a coding GOD. He’s actually quite famous in certain parts of the web. One bit of software which he built (and released free of charge) has been so popular it actually overloaded his web server a couple of times <img decoding=” title=”Wink” />

The weird thing about the whole business is that Ryan isn’t even a comp sci graduate – he’s doing a PhD in chemistry. Personally, I reckon he missed his calling <img decoding=” title=”Wink” />

[quote:30quduvy]Being known would help some out o the point they are trying to get across too, it is a shame about the few who ruin it for the majority although i am not a against coming out just enjoying being anoymous, if the rules change guess ill have to strap on some balls and come out of the closet[/quote:30quduvy]

Requiring you to make your identity public will pretty much be at the discretion of the administrators. For now, you can stay in the closet.

I’m also going to go out on a limb and give Bryant the shut-out.

If God were a goalie, he’s be that man.
