If as Ryan said several of the rules were breached, [u:2ap3ep50]WHY[/u:2ap3ep50] was the game then allowed to start in the first place, clearly either because of lack of understanding of them on the referees behalf or perhaps the procedures/ rules developed proved quite clearly woefully inadequate for the situation
[/quote:2ap3ep50]This is a good point, but from the sound of it the referees did the right thing in calling off the game. I’m sure they’ve thought about it in hindsight, and have an idea of how they’ll handle a similar situation in the future.
As to how the DIHA can punish non-DIHA members – it can’t, except through the normal procedure of civil suit or filing a police report if the association believes it has a case. However, as the DIHA is 1/3rd owner of the rink, it’s clear that if the DIHA has a mind to, it could arrange for offending players to be banned from the rink by way of a standard trespass notice.
ChrisMemberMy stars are red, yours are yellow. That means I’m the sheriff in this town, so I hand out the points.
+500 to Chris just for shits and giggles.

A large proportion of the Kings players were drinking before the game and three fights broke out in the first 15 minutes so the referee’s called the game off.

The IBs are really pushing boundaries for New Zealand.
ChrisMember…and continuing your one-man war against the apostrophe, I see.
ChrisMemberSwarm v Red Devils
ChrisMemberAaron, I don’t think Ryan’s having a go here. It would just be good to get this sorted out for the future.
ChrisMemberWhat Ryan said.
ChrisMemberI am keen to play, but have no team. Anyone else in this boat?
