[color=green:2udpsvw6]So why don’t we just call for non checking again this year, how many actual Dunedin teams can we field anyway that are able to play center ice checking. Surely they would have better chance at getting a higher number of teams entered if they make it non checking unless both teams agree to it.

I guess having only two lines per team means they get more teams entered and they get more money from it. Man this sucks I’ve been looking forward to this competition all year only to find out I can’t enter my team  :'([/color:2udpsvw6]

I think they will probably charge us to register the game with them anyway, I agree with Ryan and believe that its not worth it.

Apparently the list of banned members can be obtained via Jerome Raateland (NZIHF head referee).

I don’t know according to Jackie Neil is been Neil and won’t stay for the 7.30pm slot unless I can get a hold of some1 else who can groom the ice afterwards.

I don’t want to argue with Neil to find no one is going to turn up tonight.

As far as I am aware there is no social game on Saturdays. Sunday is now available from 7pm if we wish. I prefer the sunday games as many do and am prepared to collect money if thats all it takes. So any one for Sundays

Graham would you be available on the Saturday night to collect money and groom the ice as Neil wants to go home at 7.30pm and not hang around till we are finished. Otherwise the scrimmage would have to take place at 5.15 straight after the public session.

The reason it is a Saturday is because Neil made a deal and said ‘that we can use that ice time even if only 1 player turns up’, and he won’t charge us the full $150.

But I was talking to Phil the other day to see about whether he can give us the same deal on the Sunday night now the DIHL has finished. But at the moment it is 7.30pm Saturday night.

I believe it is $10 and the game will probably keep going to someone kicks us off the ice. Someone there on the night will collect it. But because this hasn’t been advertised yet, I think it will be a poor turn out this week especially with exams etc on at the mo.

I really should check with Neil make sure he knows and doesn’t lock us out again.

Ryan you should probably advertise this on the homepage.

Yeah the 7.30 session has started back up on a Saturday night, basically anyone can turn up but I’m hoping to have it moved back to Sunday where most of us are more likely to make it.
