Gotta have faith in your friends if you don’t then you can’t really call yourself a friend now could you. Team has been through a lot I know they are amped to play and show the home crowd and league what they actually are capable of.
I can see both ends. As soon as the boys start playing and having fun like we were in social skate I know that they will start winning. The talent is there and I think the team has been through a real rollercoaster ride of Drama more so then other teams through the season. Old coach or new they will play as best they can.
I’m still saying Thunder will take 2 I have faith in my boys and know they will work their asses off! Hardest working team in the league I think.

I merely said that Canterbury is more physical. Any team that is more physical usually has an advantage. As Vpatrol pointed out by a solid forecheck I didn’t say that capitalized as we could all see with the score. Stampede beat us 10-0 and 11-0 showing they are a far better team then Thunder was. The fact of the matter is though that Stampede beat us 11-0 and 10-0 not 11-0 and 15-2. Canterbury beat us worse and beat us worse in the second game when Thunder were actually playing better. As for the top lines in the league that is comparable to Stampede and Canterbury playing the same opponents. They have scored more goals against the Admirals and Thunder then Stampede have. Now with this comments I’m not trashing or knocking the Stampedes ability at all they are a wicked team and “among” the top in the league. What I am saying is my opinion is that based on what we have seen so far from the two teams performances is that Canterbury is looking a little stronger and that I think they will come out on top. I personally would like to see Stampede come out on top but as far as I can tell Canterbury is the better team. Now trashing on the Thunder for how they are playing isn’t going to prove any points either so just focus on the games this weekend and see what happens. I for one am making an opinion now and we’ll see if I am right when the weekend is over.
Yeah I actually left the team. I just wasn’t having fun. I was playing hockey as an escape from school and there were some personal issues that one of the members of the coaching staff had against me. I also didn’t agree with how he treated many of the players as he made things very personal with some very inappropriate personal comments. I think it is for the better because the team seems to have sorted out an arrangement which they are happy with. It is sad because I wanted to play with those guys since I consider them all the my best mates in New Zealand.

I think that Canterbury is going to be the top team but with a some very very close games against Stampede. Canterbury has beaten every team that the Stampede has by greater margins and I personally got to play against both teams well kinda got to play against both teams and I believe Canterbury is stronger. It was mentioned that the defense has yet to be tested but that has to say something crediting the Devils. If their defense has yet to be tested then maybe their offense is far better then any other in the league which has been shown with the league point leaders. Stampede is a great team but going to have a rough go with Canterbury.

I agree with everything that’s been said. The defense does need to pick it up and clear the zone for Parry and Bryant. Forwards need to start firing and penalties need to be minimized but keep up with the positives. Forcheck was really solid against Stampede and I think quite a few of the hits were very clean and shouldn’t have been called. Keep up the good work guys and make everyone proud. My vote is 3.
I think that the Thunder have the potential to take all 4 games. Parry has been standing on his head and I don’t think his stats reflect how well he’s been playing. Bryant has been amazing when he’s been in the pipes as well. The Thunders first line has a lot of potential if they can all play at the same time. The second line was really impressive against the Stampede last weekend even though the scores weren’t great. Biggest thing is if the team can keep their heads up with their assistant coaches emotional out bursts. I know that has been a huge stressor for the team. I predict that the thunder will win 3 games to 1 as well.
I wonder where you’re getting your info from then. Players have definitely not been to happy I know that I am not the only one.
don’t worry i’ve done that as well and been scolded. we just have to think about how to word stuff if we want the forum to remain open. its cool to have an opinion but as soon as we cut down people or say certain things like blake sinclair is a goon then it turns into an attack not an opinion. btw blake i think you’re a handsome man.
content of posts has to follow guildlines at the top. If an administrator sees the rules getting broken or rude comments made then they will moderate what is said. Saying your opinion about game play rules is fine but trying to cut players down or refs is usually frowned upon. It’s okay to have an opinion but I guess the forum is under scrutany right now and by voicing your opinion in a rude and derogatory manor it will get moved or moderated.
