Tom when you steal other peoples quotes from the internet that is called plagerism. The least you could do when defending your horrible 2nd rate team with quotes and hockey terminology from other people is reference them at the end of your post and give them the credit for the comments they made. This will be a valuable tool for you should you decide to go to University to learn some of the finer skills if your hockey skills don’t take you to the NHL.
If I grow some more grey hair I might be able to play old timers. Simon and I both if he loses a bit more hair.
I was actually quite surprised with the games. The Rangers seemed to have brought quite a strong side and the Penguins had lots of Juniors and guys that have never played with the thunder before. The Rangers definitely brought a stronger side and played like they did but yet the score remained very close. I think goaltending played a huge part because the Rangers definitely had 20-30+ shots with 4 goals and the Penguins had about 5 shots with 2 goals. I think the upcoming season will definitely be an interesting one for sure.
Greece vs. Ice Blacks was definitely an entertaining game and the final goal was certainly a beauty but I don’t think the Ice Blacks deserved to win that game by any means. The reffing was some of the worst I have ever seen. I still don’t understand how the ref can call an interference penelty 5-10 seconds after it happened and after greece scores a beautiful goal. Then when Greece complains about the penelty being called so damn late they get a bench minor as well to give the ice blacks a fucken 5 on 3 pp? Seriously seemed to me like special favors were given out all game for the IB’s. I went into the game thinking they would clobber Greece but by the end the only reason they won that game was due to the horrid reffing that occured all game.
I think a rink in Wellington is very called for. A city that size should have a permanent one so that there are 7 teams in the NZIHL!!! I wonder what their name would be. Wellington Warriors? Wellington weasels? or even the Wellington wind…? So many possibilities.
Is it classy to make fun of the Thunder for their season last year? I personally don’t think so so good on ya for bringing something up that wasn’t even related to me. Although I may not have been a part of the Thunder before this year I have heard several stories and points of view from nearly everyone that was involved. From what I’ve heard the team had issues last year with coaching and management. I started out having fun talking about the upcoming season and hoped you would look at forum talk a little more entertainingly instead of offensive but from the looks of you checking it 24/7 this is serious business to you. Have fun with your upcoming season and good luck this year because the Thunder are a different team and I think are going to surprise you.
Well at least you know Blake knows what he’s talking about and that there will be several goals shot through your five hole. One more question. If you are such a fantastic goalie why didn’t you play for the Devil’s last year? In any case you’ll just have to wait on ice to see who I am. Best of luck Dane have a good time in Canada.
LoL if I remember correctly you said you lost every single game you played on the Devil’s and then you played for Thunder last year and the team was 1-11. Well I think I can possibly draw a couple of conclusions from that. In any case it’s a new team this year and the poison has been kicked out. We’ll see what happens on the ice.
Try not to cry when the Thunder rape you this year. Or you can consol your team while you are sitting on the bench.
