MemberAlso bear in mind that the people running the event are volunteers. They’re not required to know the ins and outs and procedures for everything. Dealing with drunk people before a game isn’t exactly something you expect to happen, so it’s quite probably they just hadn’t bother looking up or remember any rules relating to that sort of thing and didn’t really know what to do at the time.
There was a clear check for alcohol before the game, but the heavy drinkers consumed a bunch of mints before the game to cover up the smell.

MemberYep, quite a few rules breached I believe. I assume action will be taken regarding the incident, but haven’t heard anything official on that front.

[/quote:6whwdohw]Lol. I doubt it.
Maybe next year, but with much stricter control over who plays.

MemberThere was some ambiguity in the PDF on the Moose site as to exactly who is coming. It is now quite clear that it is most definitely the Canadian Moose as they’ve updated their PDF to outline as such:

[b:16fnnr5u]Team USA & CANADA[/b:16fnnr5u]
$2990
Includes flights,
accommodations and food
[/quote:16fnnr5u]Who would have thought that the cost to represent Canada in hockey would only be $2990?
I’m guessing “quality players” means you don’t need to be good enough to play at Junior level to represent Canada at hockey:
[quote:16fnnr5u]Team: AHL, OHL, Junior, quality players[/quote:16fnnr5u]And along with all that, they’ve still got the same “first come, first serve” policy:
[quote:16fnnr5u]Selection will be on a “first come, first serve” basis.
Players will be guaranteed 7 games and will have to
sign a Team Contract.[/quote:16fnnr5u]There was some debate earlier about who on earth the “famous” Kerry Goulet is. It turns out he’s also known as Kerry Gouche and used to play pro hockey in Germany. He has his own Facebook group:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8647310830His other name was mentioned in the Moose’s recruitment brochure … http://www.canadianmoose.org/pdf/2011/R … ochure.pdf

MemberIce Blacks have clearly been eating their weet bix. If someone had suggested that the Ice Blacks could be in with a chance for a medal in Div II two years ago I would have laughed at them. Shows what I know.
Do the second placed team get promoted to Div I? Or is that just the first placed team?

MemberThis game turned into a farce. A large proportion of the Kings players were drinking before the game and three fights broke out in the first 15 minutes so the referee’s called the game off.

MemberKings High is desperately short of players. If you have been a student there, even for an hour, or been a teacher, student teacher, heck if you’ve even taken a drunken dump on the grounds I’m sure we can count you as a former Kings High student

Puck drops at 10pm our time, 8pm their time.

MemberJesus! The Ice Blacks forwards must have been on fire as I was well informed by a certain Belgian goalie that no New Zealand players would stand a chance at scoring on the net of the Belgian national team – ever.
