Decision is to be made on the name of our teams (if one at all) and a colour scheme. The date was scheduled to be roughly two weeks from that meeting, I think Ryan W published the exact date somewhere in this forum.
I’m assuming this is in line with what Steve Jackson had arranged with the committee from the meeting before. I’m a bit confused as to what was and wasn’t decided previously as I didn’t make it to those meetings. Steve seemed to have a handle on it all though so I was/am happy to leave it to him.
Ryan,
PS: I’m assuming it was me you were wanting to answer, not Ryan Wick.
imported_RyanMemberI showed it to my flatmate and told her about the foreign player cap, then asked her how she thought the NZ players compared to the foreigners and she seemed to assume that the locals were only in the league because of the player cap. I wasn’t trying to make her think that by telling her about the player cap, but it was her assumption after watching it.
I think these little snippets on the TV do help the sport though. As the saying goes “all advertising is good advertising”.
We need to find someone with an obsession with videoing, a decent camera and a decent computer for video editing then we could just supply the stories to the news stations, I don’t see that happening any time soon though ” title=”Tongue” />

Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberIt didn’t give me the impression that the league was full of imports. But it did give me the impression that they’re leaps and bounds ahead of the locals which I’m not convinced is true.

They have their own uniforms already, but a set of DIHA uniforms designed by Beth for wearing at hockey games could look really professional. It wouldn’t look tacky like real cheerleaders do. Plus they may even make their own uniforms so wouldn’t cost us a cent – not sure about that actually, but you never know.

Well when you get together a group of girls who are willing to cheer for the team who are willing to wear tiny little skirts in an ice rink, I’ll be quite glad to make some outfits for them. They actually need to be skilled as dancers though and I’m happy to choreograph routines for them.[/quote:34bmp91t]Ryan,

That’d be a really late prize though as even if it was agreed to by the club, they likely wouldn’t receive it for 6 months at least, maybe more depending on how long it took for jerseys to be arranged.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberThat’s a heap of good advice from Kyle. There’s a few major bugs in there that need ironed out and I’ll post about them some other time.
Hopefully this’ll be enough to get you started though ” title=”Smiley” />
One major point I’ll point out now though is that you need to sort out [b:2h8348ij]when[/b:2h8348ij] you’re going to hold it now so that you can book the ice and check with the DIHA that it’s okay for you to run it. You don’t want to plan something 8 weeks in advance only to find that there’s a whole fleet of things freakily booked in then and you can’t run it or you have to compromise things. Ideally I’d book the ice time 6 months or so in advance myself. You can always un-book ice time you don’t need.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberSession canceled. In fact it was never on in the first place apparently!?!? – [b:38v7o7s1]not the web admins fault however![/b:38v7o7s1]
Notice will be placed on the home page announcing as such shortly.

I’ll on-send it to some others on my mailing list that aren’t DIHL related. EDIT: And yes I know it still has links to forum topics, but I’ve edited the hell out of them will do so with more posts if anyone thinks it’ll help.
This has taken a ridiculously long time, mainly due to my fault.
Ryan W, I’ve added a date at the end for when we send it and another for when replies are required by (now Thursday). Hopefully that’s what you meant by ‘add the date’.
Ryan – Frantically trying to get stuff done!
