I’m not actually on the Bullfrogs team, I’m just playing as a casual player at the moment and probably wont be there next week.
I’ll be at powerskating, intermediate practice and the SIHL SNC games on this Sunday plus a game at 7:30pm against the Juniors on Saturday night.

I’m not sure how much time you’ve spent playing here in Dunedin, but the rink here operates quite differently to the one in Christchurch, they’re not as anal about having a whole fleet of staff on or anything. Plus there’s a few hockey players who would count as staff anyway and could groom etc. for us.
But yeah, that stuff could be a stumbling block.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberWelcome to the forum chchicechick ” title=”Smiley” /> What team/league do you play for in Christchurch – am assuming you do.
Sounds like this is a really popular idea, volunteers to organise it? Ryan Wick? Shouldn’t actually take too much organising to get the game going. The bulk of the work would probably involved marketing and so forth. I think the club as a whole would probably launch into the concept pretty well though.
Oh yeah, and bags not wear a jersey which has been worn for 23 hours straight! Poo, icky!
Ryan,
imported_RyanMember[b:1lta9cju]ALL[/b:1lta9cju] of the stats for both A and B-grades are supposed to be in this document:
http://www.dunedinicehockey.hellyer.kiwi/documents/dihlstatsautumn07.pdf%5B/url:1lta9cju%5D
But I haven’t been sent any for the A-grade or recent B-grade rounds unless I’ve forgotten to add the last batch – Aaron could you confirm?
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberWhoa! I just checked that link you posted! +240 hours of hockey we need to beat!!! That’s a lot of hockey.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberKyle suggested this a while ago. I don’t think he got anywhere with planning it though. Count me in for 6 hours or so. Could be tricky finding numbers from 1am-7am or so I imagine.
The world record for the longest hockey game was apparently made ‘downunder’ previously with help of the Canadian Moose (13 hour game which has since been beaten). I’m not sure if it was in New Zealand or Australia though … http://www.canadianmoose.org/html/about.htm%5B/url:3b8qgmi8%5D

[/quote:3a7f89yb]There are skates there, although I can’t promise anything about size or quality. There are some good skates, some bad skates and a range in between.
A dress is optional but highly recommended. KFC pre and post game is compulsory, mid game is recommended but not a requirement

The odd thing is, according to the moderator logs you haven’t edited anything since May 23, 2007, 01:39:55 PM, but my post which you claim to have edited was created today!
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberRemaining two videos are now uploaded. I wont be uploading anything that big for a while! Took over 9 hours to upload that 400 MB behemoth! And twice it got half way through and my connection died and the upload broke ” title=”Sad” />

And yep, there’s a bunch of protective gear there. In fact there’s much better equipment there than at the ice rink.
Required equipment is:
[list:1ew75o1k]
[*:1ew75o1k]Hockey helmet[/*:m:1ew75o1k]
[*:1ew75o1k]Shin guards[/*:m:1ew75o1k]
[*:1ew75o1k]Elbow pads[/*:m:1ew75o1k]
[*:1ew75o1k]Inline skates[/*:m:1ew75o1k][/list:u:1ew75o1k]
[size=1:1ew75o1k]Inline hockey skates are not compulsory, but your skates must not have any protruding bolts or chassis parts which may damage the floor – a common problem with aggressive inlines. If you do have sticky outty bolts then make sure you cover them up with a stack of tape to prevent them damaging the floor.[/size:1ew75o1k]Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberActually there’s only one goal and Ryan Wick has already booked it. Sorry.
Plus Becky may be coming and maybe even Jaimee so that’d be four goalies!
I just hope we have enough out players! So far we have:
[list:3vcm5xni]
[*:3vcm5xni]Deanna from Edmonton[/*:m:3vcm5xni]
[*:3vcm5xni]Jenel Bode[/*:m:3vcm5xni]
[*:3vcm5xni]Moi[/*:m:3vcm5xni]
[*:3vcm5xni]Ryan Wick (goal)[/*:m:3vcm5xni][/list:u:3vcm5xni]But I’m sure a bunch extra will turn up on the night.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberActually I think I’ve covered most of the likely suspects with my email and this post so probably don’t need to go annoying a bunch of people with an email bomb.
