We were both kitted out with life jackets and ice claws and we had someone standing there with a rope ready to throw if we went through.

This doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the NZIHL so I’ve split it off from the “2010 Champion” topic. You also didn’t mention that (I assume) you are referring to a Dunedin team so I put that into the topic title.
We’ll see. At the very least I’ll be out of action for 2010.
The problem is, it’s not as though I’ve just dislocated it a couple of times, I’ve literally lost count now. It’s definitely 20+, but it could easily be 40+ for all I know. I couldn’t even sneeze without dislocating my shoulder before surgery and if I keep playing it’ll probably end up just like that again.
They’ve started prepping the ice ready for the tournament already. It was looking darned near perfect on Saturday and Sunday. Best outdoor ice I’ve ever skated on.
