The Randoms won 6 – 3. They cheated by using a “beginner” import from France. That “beginner” then proceeded to get a hat trick

I told the referee that he wouldn’t be paid if we didn’t win. Unfortunately our accounting division processed his payment before the end of the game

It dried just before 3pm so I turned up. No one else did, so I had to play with myself

It’s pretty darn wet outside right now. If it’s dry it’ll be on at 3pm as per usual, not sure there will be a big turn out since it’s so wet right now though.

Sorry but the last person emailed me about an hour before you posted here so there aren’t any spots left now.

We’re running a little low on players, so if anyone wants to play, please let me know and I’ll add you to the list.

Randoms need to bring a non-orange jersey.

    Thanks for the run-down.

Sounds like those Rusty Blades must have some good players.

Anyone know the results from today?

We nearly fried to death out there today! That sun was brutal!

Fingers crossed for overcast conditions next Saturday

The weather is looking good so this will be back on again today (Saturday) at 3pm

I’m guessing that means the Old Wolfs are moving down?

I played on a team mainly made up of Night Owls last night against the Old Wolfs and we cleaned the Old Wolfs up pretty badly. I can’t remember the score but it must have been 7-1 and the only goal they scored was because one of our players forgot which way they were supposed to be going!

Ah, so pools = grade. That’s silly terminology to use.

Does anyone have the low down on the teams?

I’m guessing the Penguins are the Dunedin A team, and the Canterbury Old Wolfs are entered by the Canterbury Aardwolfs. The Gore gorgonites are presumably the regular Gore team minus their younger contingent and the Ducks are presumably the left overs from the Penguins team. The Jurassics will have their regular crew from Queenstown. Other than that I don’t have a clue.

Out of the teams that I do know a little about, I’d pick the Penguins as te top team, followed by the Old Wolfs, then Jurassics, then Gorgonites, then the Ducks. The Ducks should be a lot stronger than in previous years as the masters players down here have been rapidly improving over the past 12 months, so they may surprise a few people and knock Gore down a peg and perhaps even surprise the Old Wolfs or Jurassics.

Well just remember, you only need to play well when your team is down by two points. As soon as it evens up a bit, just back off And watch where you are pointing that stick! You don’t want to go taking someone’s eye out with it.

Does that mean you are playing for one of the Australian teams?
