Nope, they’re not tapered. I snapped one years ago directly in the middle, jammed a hunk of wood between the two and used it. The flex was affected by doing that, but like you said, if it’s the end then you probably wouldn’t notice any difference.
imported_RyanMemberWhat do you mean by “toe”? AFAIK Typhoon’s aren’t available as a one-piece so it wouldn’t have a blade which is where I normally think of the toe being, although I could be wrong and there is now a Typhoon one-piece available.
imported_RyanMemberI haven’t gotten that impression either. What threads are you referring to?
And welcome to the forum ” title=”Smiley” />

[/quote:2zvv4x37]"Puck Lover":2zvv4x37 wrote:Sorry mate (kyle) Im not to sure what you are talking about there. I guess Im not up with the forum lingo.[/quote:2zvv4x37]Kyle didn’t say anything relating to the forum. He was referring to the stuff.co.nz RSS feed. RSS feeds (and Atom feeds) are used to provide news in an easily transportable format. Most people view the feeds in some sort of feed reader. Google Reader is the most popular one.
Here’s the RSS feed for this forum for example … https://slapshot.hellyer.kiwi/.xml/?type=rss
If you don’t want to visit the forum, then you can just watch the posts turn up in your preferred feed reader and view them from there. The only reason you would need to come here to SlapShot.net.nz is if you want to reply to anything or to create a new thread. Kyle presumably does the same thing with Stuff.co.nz.
Hopefully that makes sense.
imported_RyanMemberThere does not seem to be a problem with creating local specific rules. It was allowed within NZIHF regulations last time I checked.
imported_RyanMemberI find the best way to shoot the puck in the net, is to keep your head up. Then when you see someone who actually knows how to shoot, then pass it to them. This technique works really well with van Leeuwens or Canadians.
imported_RyanMemberWho are the Bulltar’s?
imported_RyanMemberHas the Albury club changed their name to Tekapo now?
I heard rumours about it a while ago, but haven’t heard anything about it since.

Pete Lamb is a smart dude. He’ll do a good job.
imported_RyanMember@Kara and Rhys – who did you guys play for?
I’m assuming you both played since you know who was there.
imported_RyanMemberWere they local Tekapo players? Or did they recruit some ring-ins for the event?

[/quote:375pz706]The problem here is more likely to be +15. But if it was held in the dead of winter it shouldn’t be a problem. Tekapo seems to have fairly consistent ice from what I’ve heard.
imported_RyanMemberCanadiens no speaky da Engrish!
