I think part of the problem comes down to a lack of anyone willing to organise a team. There is no SIHL SNC team this year because of that. It’s not just a dislike of the way it is run, there’s a general problem in finding players and organisers for travelling senior teams.

Any ides how the schedule is worked out? I’d guess the regions are asked to put forward their preferred dates and then it would be worked out from there, maybe with some consultation.
It would be hard to satisfy everyone of course, but from what you wrote above it does look like there’s a been a couple of scheduling mucks up.
Games should not be scheduled for Otago uni. holidays if possible. Nothing to do with the players, just that the university is a good source of spectators, and from those spectators can lead to new beginner hockey players.

I didn’t even realise that was possible until reading Chris’s post. It isn’t something regular forum posters can do, but we as admins are able to do it. So if you don’t mind us posting these galleries we might keep a series of them posted here on the site if that is okay with you Peter.
