There was definitely an incident tonight and one I think needs to be dealt with very severely. The Juniors team in the DIHL were worst behaved team I’ve ever seen. Period!

I heard a call from one of them, directed towards Jack which went something like this:

I knew it was someone with the number 2 followed by something else. It turned out Jack didn’t actually hear it, or at least he said if he did he couldn’t recall it. He apparently gets that all the time! WTF?

During the break between periods I told Phil about it and he headed over to the Juniors bench and when he mentioned racial slurring Devon Williams stuck his head up and Phil stuck him in the box for a 10 min misconduct. Phil said he heard something but wasn’t quite sure and since Jack didn’t bite he didn’t doing anything until I confirmed it to him.

Rob Owens also said that the biggest, tallest player on their team who “looks about three years too old to be on their team” had spat at him directly on the visor. WTF? Rob can’t remember the jersey number and doesn’t know the players name. Rob half assedly tried to report it to the ref. but has a rather ineffective method of doing that, ie: abusing the ref. for not seeing it.

Apparently another player called Callan a faggot. He doesn’t remember who it was and didn’t report it to the ref.

I don’t know what can be done about this. But that sort of behaviour is absolutely appalling. I’ve heard of shit like that happening, but never actually seen it in person.
