Hey Kyle.
Where did you get that information from? I tried googling for it but can’t find it anywhere.
imported_RyanMemberThanks Kyle
imported_RyanMemberI guess not then.
That makes sense though. No point in having lots of randoms at practice.

[/quote:2my0enbl]I assume so.
The email I received from Jackie Christos about the practice said that any players from Junior level and up are welcome to attend. It didn’t mention anything about needing to be at a certain level. Although I assume if you are miles off the pace they would suggest you don’t come back, but you wouldn’t be miles off the pace, so I’m guessing you are allowed to attend.
Once the season gets into full swing and other practices are on I imagine they will start restricting it quite heavily though.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberIf anyone is intending to take photos at the master games, I would appreciate some photos to put here on the site. I’d particularly like something to put up as a featured news item on the home page.
Same goes for any other hockey too actually. If you have some pictures, a nice story or whatever else to go on the home page as a featured news item then let me know. Since it’s the off-season I haven’t had anything very news worthy to put up yet, but hopefully now that the season is gearing up for 2008 there will be a constant stream of news to put up there. Pictures are the most important thing I need though. I can usually cobbled together some sort of story out of tidbits of information, but photos are harder to make up ” title=”Tongue” /> Stick figures in MS Paint don’t quite cut the mustard unfortunately ” title=”Tongue” />
Thanks ” title=”Smiley” />
imported_RyanMemberLast I knew there wasn’t any volunteers to run the A-grade either, which I assume is where you would be playing. No volunteer = no league unfortunately.
Ryan,
imported_RyanMemberHas anybody tried the email news notification feature yet?
I’ll add a news feature about it if it’s functioning okay for everyone. It seems to be working okay for me so far – although I have no use for it whatsoever since I’m the one posting them ” title=”Tongue” />
And I forgot about add the FaceBook instructions, I’ll try to remember to do that on the weekend.
imported_RyanMemberI get some random requests on occasion too.
The most recent one was from a company called Grant Thornton[/url:rlsb6w1h], who want to use video footage from here in a promotional DVD for their company???? Apparently Sean Abe who plays in Auckland and is in one of my videos works for Grant Thornton.
I also get requests for team uniforms, merchandise, instructional DVD’s and copies of the program I made the website with (trying to explain that Notepad will do the job opens up a whole ‘nother can of worms!).
The funniest ones are usually when people ask why I don’t create another league, team or whatever other idea someone has. Some people seem quite surprised when I tell them that I don’t run the ENTIRE club Apparently running the website makes people think that I do everything ” title=”Tongue” /> Unfortunately/fortunately I don’t have enough time for that.

imported_RyanMemberIt seems I didn’t have a codec pack installed. It’s working fine now.
imported_RyanMemberI can’t seem to get it to work. I just see a blank screen ” title=”Sad” />
imported_RyanMemberIt’s definitely doable. I’m saving for a trip to Israel right now so I won’t be available to play though. Dunedin has lots of good players so wouldn’t get totally outclassed either.
I’ve always been keen on organising games vs Christchurch in Timaru, but have never got round to organising one. There’s a really nice gymnasium there we can use with three basketball courts. I played in a game against the RedBacks there a few years ago and it was great. There’s no boards, but the gymnasium walls are usable, albeit it would have to be a fairly social game and you need to have some sort of rule to prevent injuries – perhaps first to the puck on the boards gets to keep it or something like that.
imported_RyanMemberThanks for the update. I assumed you wouldn’t mind, so I’ve borrowed your forum post almost verbatim for the news post … http://dunedinicehockey.hellyer.kiwi/nzihl-team-trainings/
imported_RyanMemberWelcome to the forum Craig ” title=”Smiley” />
imported_RyanMemberOh yeah, I meant to post a congratulations about that ages ago. I must have forgotten.
Congratulations Mallory ” title=”Smiley” />
