From what I can tell, they appear to be signing up anyone they can get their hands on.

in reply to: Biggest Rivalry in the NZIHL? #16920

I’m assuming there isn’t much rivalry between the two Auckland teams as from what I’ve heard, they tend to feed players between the two rather than competing against one another. That’s third hand information though from south islanders, so it may be wrong though.

Well if the poll is anything to go by, this must have been a very close game. One vote for each option in the poll.

Apparently on radiosport they are saying it’s ALL NHL players? Does anyone know actual details yet?[/quote:2nzmgqsf]

That is complete and utter bullshit.

so whats the deal is the teams going to be made up of good nhl players or not?

    No one knows for sure.

I’m guessing that there will be no current NHL players at all.

If you write up a list of lies then someone here can forward it to the commerce commission for you.

    Tempting to go watch.

There’s always a good atmosphere at the Gore games. Nice place to play too.

This seemed to be stickied, so I unstickied it.

Who would’ve thought a bunch of randoms thrown together would count as “the world’s top two teams”:

Where did you get that from?

in reply to: NZIHL 2011 #16572

And the team had him back? Sheesh.

Well the rest of the teams ought to make sure their gloves are stowed away some place safe. You never know who might decide to take a poo in them.

in reply to: Canada vs. USA…in New Zealand? #10390

    lolz

Where did you find that out from?

in reply to: NZIHL 2011 #16570

How the heck did Kahu Joyce get on the team? I assumed he’d been banned from all hockey until the end of time. The other teams had better watch they don’t get their equipment pooped on.

in reply to: Naseby rink lights #16882

Private event. Players are being handpicked (not by me). You are likely to be on the list of players requested to play anyway though I suspect.

in reply to: Naseby rink lights #16880

Thanks. Sounds like they have lights anyway though, and I wouldn’t ask someone to bring lights all the way to Naseby for that event. It’s a highly un-serious social trip.
