By about a foot.[/quote:3ei23i7r]My right foot was definitely over the blue line, but I think my left foot may have brushed on to it, but it definitely didn’t go over. Players on the bench reckoned my left foot didn’t even touch the blue line though, but I’m not 100% sure myself as I was just concentrating on what I was doing and assumed I could skate on the blue line. The puck was definitely out by at least a foot, probably more though.

MemberWell one good thing came out of this. I learned that the ‘skating on the blue line’ concept only applies if the puck wasn’t already over the blue line. My goal wasn’t allowed because of it
” title=”Sad” /> I always thought you weren’t off-side as long as you have at least a foot on the blue line – oh well, lesson learned.

” title=”Smiley” /> I can’t wait.
Although my lack of fitness demonstrated last night doesn’t bode well for Sunday!

MemberI’m not surprised someone fell in. AFAIK it’s been above zero all week in Central Otago and ice has been melting left right and center. Any ice which is still there must have been pretty soft.
If you’re crazy enough to skate on thin ice, at least make sure there are multiple people with ropes to pull you out. Hockey sticks aren’t exactly the longest thing to pull somebody out of the water with.

MemberI’m not sure where to put this on the site, so in the mean time here’s a full game report by Bode …
EDIT: Our mighty coach gave me a revised version which I’ve replaced the old one with – I’m not sure what the difference was.[/size:oh9s1be1]
EDIT X2: the game reports now have a permanent home here … [/size:oh9s1be1]

MemberThanks Kyle. I’ll ask Bode tonight if she minds me changing everything over to Sharks and Jets as it’ll be less confusing that way.

MemberSo which team were wearing Sharks and which were wearing Jets uniforms?
The official team names are the highly original “Team One” and “Team Two” – blame Bode for that.

I forget his name but I think he’s an ex NZ inline rep. If it’s who I think it is, then he’s from Blenheim originally.
