This is cool Ryan. Would this be a good place for me to post photos? (new thread)

Kyle, I already feel like I live there.
Here’s a pic of the black and whites….

    Yeah.

I know it’s lack of lighting that’s stopping me looking as good as an NHL player. They were going to call me up, but when they came to scout me, said that I wouldn’t look good enough in their promo photos.

    Man I was ripped.[/quote:2p2h714q]

I don’t know Kyle, I sent this one in to Central Scouting….

If I can get enough light I can make you look like this:

Can that, I tracked down the original copy at [url:1adjto3b]http://planb.smugmug.com/gallery/2665112/1/141070389#141070389-O-LB[/url:1adjto3b]

I’d be inclined to sacrifice some shutter speed for a lower ISO rating. Those pics are a little too grainy as they are now. At least for the action shot of me anyway (ISO 1000!), the static shots aren’t too shabby though <img decoding=” title=”Smiley” />

    cheers,

    Ryan,
I’m already sacrificing quite a bit of shutter speed in that shot, I was down to 1/320 and to eliminate most motion artifacts I need to stay at or above 1/500. For the action shots I was using a Canon 70-200 F 2.8 IS lens and all my shots were at 2.8. For the Beast “who will play defense?” shot I used a 15mm 2.8 fisheye lens. I was disappointed by how grainy the iso 1000 shots came out. In a Pro rink you can get perfect files at iso 640 with a shutter speed of 1/500. I think I can get that if I turn the curling rink lights on. I’ll give it a go this weekend!

Check out the stick blur in this shot at 1/500!

Azzy, I had the third set of lights on! Also, as the game progresses the light quality diminishes because there is less reflection.

Hey Joe, were you the guy with the mean looking camera I saw on sunday night?[/quote:3oshlhmy]

Yeah, that was me. It’s pretty dark in there, I’m going to see if the lights over the curling rink help. My candids are fine but I couldn’t get the shutter speed I need for the action shots.

She did great in net. Here’s a pic of her with pops between periods.
