Yeap that can happen.(Ryan’s u tube above)
But after talking with several people including John Perrin the guy with shriek he was on for half an hour the worst thing is the banging and thumder noises.
as the ice moves about, same as Manoburn dam on a good day it makes heeps of cracking noises too. It is scary but heeps of people have been on it. it is a game of chance if it rolls over but one thing if it does you won’t need your skates again.

    Thanks guys
We have one team at three a side that is the call as the helicopter only fits 6 players.
Do you think I should get the THREE Aussies to be the rest of the other team,
Phil is living over there as an Australian and is interested too. then it may make bigger news in Australia and their big companies might be in on the sponsership too?

There is a very good change we will get sponsered by one of new zealand’s largest companies, but I can not confirm this untill it is signed up.
There are guys in Australia who will be here in 24 hours to go but the idea is Dunedin guys go as it is my idea but if I can not get locals do not worry some Australians will come.(also three Americans want to too.)
It is the publicity that it will create as this has never been done before and world wide attention should happen.
Remember this may or may not happen I can not order up an ice berg, and a lot of saftey stuff has to be done, how ever, it is still an adventure and has a risk. As for the people who are not sure don’t come it is your choice
I am going if I can pull it off and five others as the chopper fit 8 people.
and we are taking a winch man and pilot too.

Think we could all get a sponser as the news coverage would be world wide every country would post it on their news so we should get good milage

Being an undertaker and a shark you should not be troubled.
Anyway there is one on the way.
Think the answer to the question two up
A you will get hit on the head by a very large pc of ice as it rolls over then no worries you won’t feel a thing be dead, the water round the ice will be freezing so might feel exposure and hypothermic and die so all in all if you think all that is going to happen the don’t come. The guy who shared the sheep didn’t care neither did shriek the sheep.

The ice according to the helicopter pilot is as smooth as a polished suface washed by the weather and is like glass. the rocking is not very much the ice bergs are klms long big not rink size, anyway ice hockey players can cope with that if you can’t then your not a good enough skater, we skated on manoburn in the old days when the place was broken up like a jigsaw and jumped from piece to piece
