I think it is down to relationship building and allowing the Rink to become involved in the NZIHL, everyone has costs to cover!!
And surely the ice had been booked allowing enough time for the game
Who out of the NZIHL teams own their own rink???
kelf6966MemberDon’t think people from Gore really can if they drink inside the car or outside the car!
As long as there is a car involved! ” title=”Cheesy” />Think we will have to make a banner and protest outside, and keep the cup in Queenstown,
if it’s not being done right then it’s not being done at all!!!!kelf6966MemberWell she didn’t stand and thats what started the fun!
Why don’t we just organise a trip to Tekapo and hold it there.
If we can book the Ice, away we go.I pretty sure the cup is in Queenstown somewhere – its been here so long
could be hard to find it. ” title=”Grin” />kelf6966MemberI think everyone misunderstood the quote and thats why I was taking the p*ss.
Opened up a whole can of worms with the Mum quote – you don’t mess with someones mum dude that was friggin low! ” title=”Wink” />
kelf6966MemberI don’t see how Gore can make a call to host the Cup indoors when there are 3 outdoor rinks who have ice that can be played on at present.
Holy crap this Cup has one of the longest histories in New Zealand sport!
(1937 for those that care)God Damn how would the NZRFU feel if the holders of the Ranfurly Sheild decided to be play all the games indoors this year?
It is just not right – and needs to be sorted out!
Vpatrol – said it right, its not about the winning its about playing good fun Ice Hockey OUTSIDE, I think Wyndham Barker would be rolling over in his grave!
kelf6966MemberIf you hadn’t notice I was taking the p*ss out of the quote!
Good job you took the bait so quickly – shame your stick hand isn’t that quick! ” title=”Wink” />kelf6966Member"Defense101":1vceztf3 wrote:Looks like the Devils defense has been “tested” with the obvious result that was expected. We’ll see what happens tomorrow but I imagine it will be much of the same thing. Looks like they beat Botany worse then Stampede did again shows the Devil’s strength.
[/quote:1vceztf3]Finally the Devils defense has been tested but by how much we won’t know until we see the stats.
As for these games showing the Devils Strength – I don’t get it What is their strength scoring the 14 goals this weekend or letting in 8?
If we are going off first encounters with the Swarm being the marker post then the Stampede scored 14 goals but only letting in 4!I mean at the end of the season it all comes down to one game (I think it needs to be 3)
and the Stampede have won every final they have played and the Devils have lost all of theirs – so in the rational above the Stampede have it covered.kelf6966Member"vpatrol":31pxdh5r wrote:There was a public session before and after the game. The rink being privately owned limits us. Gate receipts go to the CIHA. Only food sales go to the rink. Therefore from a financial standpoint, it makes sense for the rink to favor public skaters who also buy food on top of an entry fee. They only made a certain amount of ice time available due to not wanting to cut into public sessions during their typical peak times. The rink can do whatever they want. Where will the CIHA go? The other facility in chch?[/quote:31pxdh5r]
My question is how many sessions do the CIHA use Alpine Ice a week and at what cost?
It would be a hell of alot of money that they would loose if the CIHA wasn’t there!
It seems there has to be abit of give and take – surely for the play off between what the CIHA spend a year on ice time vs guarenteed ice time for 8 home games of the NZIHL – doesn’t seem too much to ask?kelf6966MemberGo the Thunder! – (That hurts a bit to write)
If Parsons is in Goal – aim low on his stick hand – it’s his weak point!!!

kelf6966MemberLets not start making excuses!!
I got a list a mile long if we are going to play that game.It was an average game of hockey (except the third period)
Toooo much whistle and the game didn’t flow which i don’t think helped the stampede,
too many penalties for both team. The third period seemed to have a bit more energy so hopefully that will flow on to tonight game.
Nice to finally see a photo from the round in auckland.

[/quote:3931pf03]What the hell sort of supporter are you cowgirl?
Course they will take it, Friday night – Queenstown Winter Festival, think Botany will
be on the go slow tomorrow!!!kelf6966MemberSorry, I was there and was not inspired!
Can’t think you can call an 11 – 0 drubbing inspiring story.Disney only want the story if you win!
kelf6966Member11 – 0 it was!! Think the “coach was told to go away by the team at the end of the 2nd so he did!?
kelf6966MemberYip, it was only an attempt though, he ripped the netting and stretched it.
But still calls go against teams all the time,it was a high shot but if you don’t see it
it didn’t happen! Thats the way it goes, just ask Buck Shelford ball sack! Can’t wait to get back down to the rink to give him Sh*t!
kelf6966MemberCrash, Bash and Hope baby, Crash, Bash and Hope!
Seems like that Chess style of Hockey is not quite working yet!
10 – 0, and I think the Stampede have alot more to give
