Better late than never =]
I believe the reason Jaimee was asked to play was to raise the level of exposure for women’s hockey in NZ, she wasn’t expecting any real ice time.
She is wearing senior men’s equipment, she outgrew the junior gear a couple of years ago.
She made a decision to step up when asked and we were all aware of the level of players and potential dangers. Luckily it worked out fine.
