Some of them were really nice. The goalie was a good player, and not at all impressed with the actions of some of his team. There were a bunch more who weren’t a problem at all out on the ice and just played good hard hockey. Some weren’t such cheery happy fellows however, but I suspect some of them went back bitching about some people on our team as well.
After all, some git boarded me when I played for the Bears the other week, but that doesn’t make all the Beasts arseholes does it?

Though I guess they could patch a short one up there to cover. But still.
And I will be playing SNC this Sunday at 10am and 3pm, and probably doing some lining in the morning (maybe both the 8:30 and 11:30 midgets game). So people can give bits of paper and money to me then.
I think I said I’d be down at the rink last night to collect DIHL registrations. Unfortunately my dog got hit by a car so life overtook me a little bit. I’ll be down there next Tuesday.
I also said I’d be down there on Saturday, but as it turns out there doesn’t seem to be any peewee game this Saturday, so I don’t think I’ll be down then either.
Any registrations can be given to Joyce and Jackie at any time however.
No it’s not possible to arrange it for tonight, the office is closed now.
Ryan and I will get our ducks in line and no doubt he’ll let you know when we have it booked!

Well it’s not booked. Last week I booked a one-off session, if he was expecting a permanent booking we’ve had a miscommunication.

I always look so ungainly playing hockey. My body is designed more for basketball than ice hockey. And I have to get gear so big to get it long enough. And my skating style isn’t exactly technically brilliant. Other than that, I look like a pro

He was still trying to finish a wee argument I’d started with him 10 seconds earlier about how when he lifts his stick up to his waist it really is a slapshot.

It looks like the goalie has said “fuck it, these guys are no good”, leaned his stick against the side of the net, and decided to play sans wood.

The DIHL photos are great Joe. One of the things I’d like to push (Ryan and Michael really) towards is when the new stats system is up and running, use that to create player pages – which would have their stats, but also a brief bio and a photo. Having photos like the ones you’ve taken here would be great. Even if you’re not happy with the lighting, clearly you’ve got good equipment and know what you’re doing to get good shots.
That photo of Jaimee (the Bears goalie) is really nice. If I remember I’ll point out to Larry that it’s here, he might want to talk to you about getting a nice copy.

I know it’s lack of lighting that’s stopping me looking as good as an NHL player. They were going to call me up, but when they came to scout me, said that I wouldn’t look good enough in their promo photos.
Man I was ripped.
