    sweet, sounds like you’ve got it covered.

    I’m going to take that dihl email address home and set it up on my computer and try and set up some address books. should make the whole email thing a crapload easier if we can run it through eudora.

    I would suggest fill in the form and send it to him, or at least send as much of the details as you can.

    He’ll be trying to put together teams on Monday night, and the last thing you want is an email from someone you don’t know saying they want to play, and that’s it. He’ll be trying to make even teams, and he might need to phone people, etc.

    I would presume that Phil isn’t going to be too hard on that age rule either. There’s a bunch of 15 year olds who played in the DIHL, and if they’re a reasonable player then they should see about registering as well.

    Going to have to see if I can rearrange my week so that I’m free on Wednesdays.

    No, not planning to help run it. I’ll talk to Phil about it tonight and provide him with some tips, and maybe I’ll manage a team, but I’ll quite happily skip running this one.

    He’s running it in two parts – before Xmas, and after Xmas, so you might be able to join up at half time.

    It’s also not going to be 5 on 5. Either 4 on 4, or 3 on 3, which will be hell tiring!

    Something you’ve done in the past two days has moved everything from the line ‘profile – private messages…’ over into a new column to the right of the header material – way over. Is fine in mac ie, but it’s messed up in firefox 1.5

    Menus work ok, but the entire section below that (white) starts further to the left than it should.

    The dates in the news are also having some issues vertically in relation to the actual news content. I’ll email you a screen shot.

    Ryan,

    The clock on the forum is out by an hour. Most likely it’s taken from the time on the computer, which means that the hosting company hasn’t adjusted their time for daylight savings, but it might be a setting in the forum.

    It grates every time I see it!

    And week 7. I’ve already covered the A grade final in detail, let’s take a peek at the other four games this time around.

    John McGlashan vs Beasts. Kyle’s pick. I’m sticking with the favourites, but close. 4-3 by the final whistle to Johnnies.[/quote:9muz1wr4]

    5-2 to Johnnies. McLean and Wakelin get doubles, Sedgwick and McLaughlin pick up singles for the Beasts. Again, not enough shots on JMs goalie to put pressure on them, even with Johnnies racking up 36 penalty minutes – clearly the Johnnies shorthanded team works pretty well together to hold that up.

    "Kyle":9muz1wr4 wrote:
    At 8pm the Ducks take on the Stars in the playoff for 3-4 in the A grade. Neither have had the happiest season this DIHL, Stars have 2 losses and 4 draws (surely a record!), and Ducks have 1 win, 4 losses, 1 draw. Stars will be pumping for a win – a couple of well-placed goals in those drawn games would have seen them playing in the final. And Ducks certainly have the talent, but while they’ve been playing well as a team, it hasn’t seemed to work out for them this season. Kyle’s pick: Stars to grab it, 4-3.[/quote:9muz1wr4]

    6-1. Ducks were in it until end of the first period, and then shortly after, they went from one up, and never looked like scoring much again. Stars, once they got fired up looked pretty lethal, and it would have been interesting to see them playing like that all season.

    "Kyle":9muz1wr4 wrote:
    And in the B Grade, at 6pm Bullfrogs take on the Bears, in what should be a friendly game. Bears have come close a couple of times this DIHL, but haven’t really had it to mix it up with the big boys. Bullfrogs are probably going to struggle unless they find a replacement for Hellyer. I’m picking Bears to get a second win, 4-2 (later revised to Bullfrogs 4-2).[/quote:9muz1wr4]

    Bullfrogs take it 3-2. Biggs gets a hat trick, Spiers and Williams knock goals in for Bears. Brassett again plays well, topping the goal saving sheet for the grade.

    "Kyle":9muz1wr4 wrote:
    OBHS take on Kings, who are backing up from what sounded like a pretty rough game last week, after a bit of a scrap broke out after the final whistle. OBHS haven’t had a happy season at all, and I’m picking that to continue to Kings roll over on them a bit, taking it 6-1.[/quote:9muz1wr4]

    Perfect pick on the score. Kings spread goals around, OBHS goalie does well, but just too many shots on their net, while only taking 5 at Kings.

    Well done to all the players in all grades. Good season!

    Week 6!

    "Kyle":1drr86v0 wrote:
    OBHS vs Bears: Both these teams are out of finals contention. OBHS pushed Kings hard last week, but fell one short, which means Bullfrogs sneak into the fourth spot. This game is technically the playoff for 5th and 6th. Neither team has had a happy season, but both will be looking to finish on a high note (they both have a friendly game against the losers of the semis next week). I’m picking OBHS to take it 4-2.[/quote:1drr86v0]

    OBHS pick it up with a 4-1 victory, McCaughan gets a hat trick. Bears not really in it, only putting four shots on net.

    "Kyle":1drr86v0 wrote:
    John McGlashan vs Bullfrogs: Bullfrogs are really up against it in the semis. Johnnies have been looking the business all season, including a big whalloping of Bullfrogs earlier on. Bullfrogs won’t be so bad this time around, but they’re already missing Hellyer, so they’ll continue to suffer. Kyle’s pick: Johnnies 6-2.[/quote:1drr86v0]

    Johnnies take it 4-1. That’s a good effort from the ‘frogs, with Biggs picking up another lone goal for his head, and Johnnies spreading it around. Having Brassett back in goal has helped the frogs out here big time, but they also only made four shots on goal, and you can’t win hockey games like that.

    "Kyle":1drr86v0 wrote:
    Beasts vs Kings: This might be a closer game, Kings are a bit of a dark horse in the competition, and thought they lost pretty well to Beasts first time around, I’m picking that they’ll come closer this time and put some heat on the Beasties. All the same, the Beasts are clearly ahead of the rest of the pack in 2nd place, and I’m going for 5-3 final score.[/quote:1drr86v0]

    This game got nasty. Kings rack up 26 minutes in penalties, but unable to get a single goal, and there was a bunch of rough stuff both during the game, and after the whistle. Silly really. Sedgwick gets a hat trick, Dudley gets the big shutout on 8 shots.
