KyleMember
I just have the scoresheets off iihf.com.
Beaten today by Turkey 9-1.
KyleMemberAnother win, this time over Bulgaria. Good work!
KyleMemberJust said paradise.
KyleMemberHmm, ok, someone took it down.
I’ll sumarise. Paradise to be updated over the summer. Laying new ice. New boards. Glass all around. One million dollars being spent, closed December – March.
KyleMemberI was sent this one. I know there’s a bunch more on facebook.
KyleMemberNZ Winter Games web site updated. Got the dates for ice hockey:
KyleMemberRepeat this Thursday, 7pm.
KyleMemberWhere I said females only, that was misleading. Males apparently allowed. I’m not sure if fishnets are compulsory.

[/quote:lliqc2mj]Wait, you learnt that stuff? When?
Also, did you teach them the new icing rule that we use, or the old icing rule that the Australians were still on and which the games ended up being played under.
I can see three camera men all cursing you during the games as the expert that clearly didn’t know shit.

The clocks were a real problem throughout, so in the end the powerplay clocks were dropped because we simply couldn’t keep track of them. We know how important they are and will definately feature in future broadcasts should we attract sponsors.
[/quote:wylx20go]It should be possible to grab the feed from the clocks, depending on the rink. Our one just has a feed from the controller, taking a copy of that feed might be possible?

[/quote:x5ubezrs]Actually I thought Nathan was pretty good. He largely had the right lingo, and seemed to at least have a vague idea of how ice hockey worked. Certainly next to a hockey expert, I thought he could work well.
The camera people needed more practice working ice hockey games – several times they lost the puck and followed two players who were off the play. And following shots is no doubt hard in ice hockey and takes a lot of experience as a camera person.
And the editing needed to switch to a different camera whenever it went into the near corners – since the cameras didn’t show that. No doubt all good experience for slapshot productions and minor things to work on but a pretty good first effort I thought.
Goal cam was great I thought.
KyleMemberI caught the end of it, not too bad. The main side camera seemed unable to turn to the close two corners.
Commentary wasn’t too bad, but the experts guy didn’t seem to be following the game very well – missed penalties etc.

[/quote:3geeryr2]I believe they’ll be on Sky TV along with all the other NZ Winter Games. I was thinking more of setting yourselves up as the experts on filming ice hockey games.
KyleMemberooh good, hope you’ve got all the issues sorted, looking forward to seeing the game.
Filming of NZ-AUS matches was a bit average in terms of quality, so having a team around that can do a good job with the international games coming up in August would be great.
KyleMemberWell that’s the Islanders season down the gurgler then. I had such hopes for them this year too.
