This might be easier for people:

MemberYou’d think Ryan was new to town or something.
Cableways is at the north end of Kaikorai Valley. If you go to the north end of NEV you’ll end up at the Normanby tavern, a whole different kettle of fish.
Kyle
MemberWait, was that a “joke”? I’ve heard about them…

MemberCapacity of the stands, once you fill up the area right out to the left above the curling rink where there aren’t any seats, is about 2000. Plus upstairs – about 2250.
For a big event you’d put more stands on the curling rink. The building could technically hold about 5000, whether or not that is practical given access and fire regs and the ability to process people in fast enough I’m not sure.

Kyle
MemberGame 2 starts in an hour.
If someone could arrange for me to have the afternoon off that’d be good, cheers.

MemberActually 4-4 isn’t possible anymore, so I’m going to say Thunder to get the extra point early in overtime.
Kyle
MemberI’m going to say Stampede will take the first 5-3, second will be another 4-4 tie.
Admirals to get a couple of moderate thumpings.
Kyle
MemberI want split voting.
But in its absence, I chose to interpret it as “first games of the weekend”. Nobody cares about Sunday anyway.
Kyle
MemberDevils to win both against admirals.
I’m picking Thunder to get at least a point from one of their games.

I think at this time of year, Gore has about 10 times the population. There’s probably well less than a thousand in Tekapo at the moment.

MemberMike Wesseling out for the season with a broken collarbone from Tuesday. Bummer.

MemberI presume coaching is part of it. Domestic imports are a big difference. There’s a bunch of players who used to play in Chch that are making a difference down here. Paris Heyd was a fairly dominant player last night.
