MemberWhat I heard was that sometimes the better midgets in Queenstown get invited up to Stampede training, both for their current development and the fact that they’d hope to be playing stampede in the future.

MemberI suspect what we might look at next year, is having southern reps train with the older grade sometimes. Queenstown does this.
Kyle
MemberWe wouldn’t tend to run checking across grades, it’s not really fair on 13 year olds who are new to hockey to play checking against big skilled juniors. Particularly when we only had one referee, and no coaches. There was no chance of it being a good contact game, it was just ice that we had to use for something with little time to organise anything.
Kyle
MemberI’m unlikely to see many of the games, so no commentary from me I’m afraid. If someone else can do it it’s always popular.
Kyle
MemberThere is a game tonight.
It’s not midgets playing juniors, that would be a little unfair. It will be midgets and juniors mixed together into two teams to play each other.
It will be $5, non-checking. 7.30pm on the ice.

MemberRather than create a separate practice for the DIHL players, we’re encouraging players (from all grades and teams) who want further practice to come along at Sunday 6pm, which is the beginners practice. We’ll split the ice as required for different skill levels to run drills. Blake, your assistance coaching would be welcome.

MemberApart from this Saturday, which now looks like the ice is going to go to something else, the time would be Sunday morning, either at 9 or 10 (given its Wednesday, not this Sunday probably starting next week). It would probably cost $10/player, and we’d need 15 to go ahead with it.
We’d also need someone willing to coach, Blake sounds keen, he might need a stunning assistant.

These requests should be directed at Pete, I’m not sure he logs in here at all.
Kyle
MemberPete took the longer break out between periods, in order to make it possible for the last few minutes to be stop time if it was close I think.
