[/quote:3k1keg8y]I should point out that as soon as the finals arrived and you got called up to Oldtimers because Larry ‘magnet pads’ Wheeler wasn’t available, Stefan got a hat trick on you.
Jets Schmets.

MemberPhotos from game 1 are up on the NZIHF photo stream too. Some nice shots.
Looks like ex-Dunedin referee Mark Hareb got to line:

You’ll see a local Dunedin linesman on the ice for both games this weekend.

MemberThe game report for game 1 is here:
Presumably game 2 will go up soon?
Sounds like a pretty good start to the season for Thunder, looking forward to Saturday and Sunday.
Kyle
MemberThe Terrace surely?
Kyle
MemberSomeone post here or send a text (to someone to post it here) with some details of the first game on Saturday night or Sunday morning please. Keen to hear how its going. Best of luck Thunder.

MemberDammit. I can’t get to a Sky TV to watch it due to the fact that my daughter doesn’t sit still for 30 seconds, let alone 3 hours. Is anyone going to/able to record it on video/dvd so I can grab it that afternoon?

MemberI think last game between Swarm and Thunder were 7-5 and 3-0 to Swarm? Good games apart from one of the Swarm players getting a mangled face. The first one was close, thought that was going to be the first win.
Or do you mean CRD vs Thunder at the end of the season?
Ryan, I think the poll is about the results of the games, not the scores of the games.
Kyle
MemberI’d love to be able to vote otherwise, but I think Swarm will be too strong, they’ve been top two in the league for the past couple of years and they’ve carried what looks like a strong lineup through to this year. That being said, new year, some new people, new goalie – hard to judge, but I hope the team goes well and pushes Swarm hard. Be a good benchmark for how Thunder is going to go for the rest of the season.
Really looking forward to the following weekend on home ice against Canterbury. I hear the linesmen are going to be good.

MemberThe online schedule shows it on Sky Sports 1 tomorrow at noon at the moment. They’ve probably updated it.
I was at the Cook on Friday for a few minutes, but they changed channel as soon as the basketball started.

MemberPeewees were in Queenstown on Saturday and beat Gore (14-0 I think) and Alexandra (11-5).
Also a bunch of Dunedin Peewees have been named in a strong Southern Peewees team to go up to Nationals this year: Jacob Hurring, Hadley Johnston, Xavier Aliberch-Wood, Caitlin Heale, Noah Leahy, Daniel Robertson, Ben Wallis. Also from Dunedin are manager Janine Hurring, Coach Sophia Leon de la Barra, and Assistant Coach Callum Wood.

MemberI have a 20 GB cap. Which is currently at about 33 GB for the month.
Kyle
MemberI missed game 4 and game 5 due to work issues and still being in Queenstown (peewees won both their games on Saturday).
Does anyone have them on video or DVD or similar that I could borrow?
My broadband is well over the months allocation so it will take me a week to download them.
