Game 2 is Tuesday noon, ESPN channel on Sky.

Might have to be lunch hour at the Cook.

Well a pub is likely to have SKY TV so you can watch it live.

I think last time sky had the finals people tended to gather at… Champions. It’s now a disco bar, so something like the cook might be better.

I wonder if we should be really organised and get someone to tape it, and then bring it in and watch it in the social room or something.

Oh Aaron, how you perform such great public service for us all.

Now I just need to find a place with Sky TV with other entertainment for 10 year old kids.

Can’t have done worse than S. King, who let in a long lob shot against the Beasts last night with 3 minutes to go, which ended up tying the game. Oh how his young teammates restrained their urge to throttle him <img decoding=” title=”Smiley” />

For those who saw the Bulls player injure his ankle in a horrific way early in the DIHL, you might not want to relive it.

For those who didn’t, it looked a little like this:

Graham is our enforcer. It goes without saying, he’s kinda crap at it, but it keeps him happy in the changing rooms.

I thort the sharks oldtimers game was good.
7-1 win for the sharks and a few of the oldtimers showing they couldn’t handle the pressure.
All and all hockey is hockey, there is alot of bitching in the game of hockey and everyone has to stop beings such girls about it and relise its part of the game. Nothing wrong with a bit of verbal abuse between a couple players or even a wee nudge (aslong as the ref doesnt see). Roughness is just in the nature of the game and thats how it will always be.

Yeah. While I didn’t feel the game was played in good spirit by either side, I didn’t feel I was cheap-shotted or penalised by the Sharks at all, nor did I see that go on, though my teammates certainly felt that they saw/felt it. As you say, the pressure wasn’t handled well at all by the Oldtimers.

I did have a real problem with my teammate sticking his hand around an opposing player’s throat after the whistle, and then wanting to continue things in the changing room. It really is just a game. People should take it seriously, but try and keep their maturity levels above a primary school brawl.

Nothing further might come of it, but it was worthy of a Game Misconduct and an appearance before the Disciplinary Committee. If the Sharks player had reacted physically at all, say by removing the hand, I suspect punches would have been thrown and it would have gotten real messy fast. And if people want their sport to be boxing, they should go to boxing.

Unpleasant game between the Sharks and the Oldtimers last night. Lots of unhappiness and talks about who’s going to get what later on and a physical confrontation at the end of the game, which almost carried on into the dressing room. Couple of Oldtimers acting a lot less mature than the teenagers on the Sharks I thought.

Seriously people, it’s a game of hockey. Sharks were well on top on the scoreboard, 6-1 or so.

Better game between Bulls and Bullfrogs which Bulls took out.

You should come back to adult beginners and consult with Bode and hit some people up for the second half of the season. There’s three or four who have arrived since the semester started who wouldn’t look out of place in a B grade game.

I’m not sure what happened with Kings-Bulls on Tuesday, but I understand Sharks had their first loss against the Jets that night. They were a little short on numbers on the bench.

Bullfrogs beat Johnnies… umm, 6-3? Not a bad game. Bullfrogs have got a couple of Beasts playing down and that was probably the difference. Old Timers beat Beasts 6-2. I had probably my worst game so far of a season – couldn’t shoot the puck within a couple of feet of the net, but did get two goals. One from behind the net on my knees that I put on the goalie and he kinda fumbled just over his own line. The other one I drove into him for the save, fell over and the puck bobbled off my leg and foot and into the net through momentum.

Comment in the changing room afterwards: “Pass to Kyle, he’s away, he slips and falls over, he scores!”.

Anyone watching the game would note that members of my team scored, y’know. Goals using their sticks. Bloody traditionalists.

Peewees played Queenstown (dunedin won 10-2) and Gore (Dunedin won… er, 16-3?) this morning in Gore.

Does anyone have the results of last weekends SIHL SNC games?

    Sweet, go the OTs.

Clearly I’m not needed. The Mo takes care of everything.

No you’re out of luck. The A grade type game got canned as slack people such as yourself didn’t indicate interest early enough.

Bet the NHL marketing people are pissed. They would have been hoping for Ovechkin vs Crosby/Malkin at some stage.

Though it means my beginning of the season pick of Flyers to take the cup limps on, after my good Ducks got knocked out by being… well crappy come playoff time.
