MemberMan those pictures are annoying. Repeated. And repeated.
Wouldn’t editing the original post make more sense Ryan?
And, nothing arrived in the internal mail.

MemberWell if you do it that infrequently, I’d imagine you’d have the time to put some thought into what you’re going to say!
I think the people you’re looking for are Jason and Jack. And er Callan as well maybe? I avoided the rotten fish.

Just ignore it in that case

MemberHey Andrew.
I’d be keen to play again, but my availability to disappear for weekends is pretty limited with two kids and two dogs. A trip or two over the summer down to Alex would be sweet though, Southern region games up in Nelson… maybe, depends on when they are.
The Dunedin Aces club is still alive (it’s basically been shut down for three years now), and might be a good place for you to build from. It’s got virtually no money – the bank account is down to about $15, but a fair bit of gear (including beginner skates), some crappy goals, a pile of pucks, some beginner sticks, a couple of sets of goalie gear, and it’s an existing club which could be brought back to life for this purpose.

MemberI’m bumping this post as Andrew Kibbelwhite is interested in getting Otago inline going, using Alexandra in the off-season and maybe building towards travelling up to Nelson next year.
Hopefully he’ll sign up and push it along.

MemberI’ll play or referee.

MemberUmm.
I can probably play the Dunedin round. I’m not playing the other 5 though. Stupid schedule.

MemberJames must have got some good time with the top line, that’s Hay and Glass he’s assisted on.
5 – 4 is a good result against Spain. Spain has a professional ice hockey league I understand. 4 goals on 17 shots, Spain had 41 shots to get 5. NZ were also 2-1 up on China at the end of the first before slipping in the 2nd and 3rd. Bummer about the relegation – that’s the second time they’ve gone up only to go straight back down again.

MemberI presume the Graham Phipps-Black is organising this.
In as much as organising probably means “no one has even thought about the team yet”.

[/quote:1vvhjmzx]I’m real curious to see how this works. We always had about 95% of the money in before anyone paid a game. I wonder how many people might end up viewing these first games as ‘freebies’ and how difficult it’s going to be to get the money out of everyone.

MemberRyan, can I take the throat guard? And can you put the two XL tops aside so I can try them on? XL means different things depending on the supplier. I’m down at the rink… well pretty much every evening, or I can stop by and look at them since you’re not down there much at the moment.

MemberYeah. I’m inclined to suggest to the committee that if there’s going to be two people working on the dihl (or anything similar) that them working together should come from them, not from above.
Like Ryan I was comfortable working with him as we’d done hockey stuff before and knew we’d work out well together. I then kinda dragged a little when I did it by myself for one DIHL, but it wasn’t too bad. Jane struggled with how much it involved, and getting people to front up, and this combination hasn’t worked too well!
I suspect Larry is looking ahead to doing this again next year. Whether or not that’s a good thing for the DIHL, but I’d be wary about anyone else fronting up to work with him. Splitting the DIHL into two grades helps with one person in each grade, but as this shows, the grades interact, and together you still need to agree and work on a bunch of stuff together.
