MemberTheir full roster is here Joe: http://www.nzicehockey.co.nz/NatLeague/ … _Squad.htm might help you sort out who you have photos of.
He was on the ice a bunch, you’re guaranteed to have shots of him.
Here’s some:

I don’t think they teach that move in NZ, he must have learnt that in Italy” title=”Wink” />

MemberTo jump off the ice for a second, the NZ Inline Hockey team beat Hungary last night 9-8, at the world champs in Germany. That’s an upset, Hungary is ranked 10th, NZ is ranked 15th.
You can follow the team at http://www.inlinehockey-wcs.com/index.php?id=325&L=1. They play Brazil and Australia over the next couple of days, both of whom are ranked above them. The winner of the pool plays a qualification game to move into the top division of 8 teams.

MemberStatistics tend to take a wee while to make it online. They’ll be up here when they’re done:

MemberUmm, this Amadeus Schifferle?

MemberThat sequence just above Joe is the bit I described in my mini-report. Great photos of it. Your camera must turn over incredibly fast to take the photos that quick. That would only be a second or so of action in 4 shots.

MemberYeah good on you Ryan for offering to do a tricky job. I don’t think it’s something that people are used to having here.
First game I was goal judging at the other end and you came across reasonably clearly. Second game I was up in the stand behind you and a fair way to your right and it wasn’t so clear. There’s maybe a need for more speakers at that end of the rink pointing to the grandstand?
I had trouble understanding you most when you were talking over music. The second game because the sound wasn’t so good, I interpreted the referee calls for people around me because it was just difficult to hear you properly.
I’d agree with Ryan Hellyer about not using the extended names to make it more exciting. It didn’t help with the understanding.
I would increase your volume a fair bit. I never found you too loud, and given that it was quieter in some parts of the rink making it a little loud for some people would be OK if it helped other people hear.

[/quote:2eubzqk7]There was a bit of confussion on those player involved. They just told us that they thought that because this was a “series”, they would shake hands at the conclusion of the “series”. This was told to those Stampede players by some of the Canterbury players. So it was by no means meant to look like poor sportsmanship, even though it did apear that way.
[/quote:2eubzqk7]OK, that’s good to hear it was just a misunderstanding. What they were saying when they came off indicated the other way, but that’s not unusual when you’ve just lost a game heavily.

MemberYeah, generally I’ve found the level of support that I’ve seen from own teams here to be pretty good. Players are good about making noise from the bench and supporting their team. My clearest memory from the Easton Cup was when I dived to block a James VL slap shot (with my stick luckily) and hearing Ryan tell me I’d made a good play, across about 20 metres of ice! There’s a bunch of people we have around who are good about sitting next to someone on the bench and providing tips or talking to them about what they’re doing.
The track record isn’t necessarily so good with other teams. Three Stampede players left the ice at the end of last night’s game and didn’t participate in the handshake, which grated with me. It wasn’t like they the game was robbed from them by the other team cheating or the referees making a heap of bad calls – they just lost. Some silly stuff in the DIHL B grade annoyed me – teams getting arrogant because they were winning a game over a team that was never as good as theirs. Sometimes you’ll be better, and sometimes you won’t. If you win without being a gloating idiot, then the other team will treat you with respect when you’re feeling down about losing the next game.
Anyway, every once in a while I read news stories about what some nutty parent has done at a rugby game – attacking a referee or hitting a kid who hasn’t played well or something. Hopefully we never get any of that rubbish down at the rink.

MemberDarcy, are you wearing a Johnnies top?
PS: Happy BD Zanzee. If you even are on the forum that is.

Aaron isn’t getting enough hugs. Perhaps instead of warmups, you could all just have a big cuddle before your next game.

MemberWell Joe, it’s like when I’m refereeing a game, and I find some money in my skates (which I like to call ‘home’ and ‘away’) before I put them on.
I find things on the internet, I don’t ask where they came from!
But seriously, Jaimee’s stick looked just like that. I was watching and thinking – wow, that looks just like that photo of Joe’s. What’s with goalie’s losing their sticks to the side of the net?

Hello Kyle, what do you mean..? A goalie do work for a change??????
[/quote:zvk4pmip]Hey Jaimee!
I saw you on Sunday with your stick leaning up against the goal Jaimee. I think you’d taken a quick nap while Ryan was skating around in circles.
It looked just like this though.
I was having major deja vu! A NHL star in the making you are.
