I think that you should know the facts. Craig did not have a lot to do with the team stuff he put up the money as a promoter, set up the venues maybe you should bitch to the team?
You can also say you are quote Canada V USA they did NOT claim it was the NATIONAL TEAM that is very different from the above.(do your legal research)
Show me a business man anywhere in the world who is clean Chris lives in a bubble, also READ THE FINE PRINT.Claims you are stating are way of the beam.
The pea-knuckle attitude here is ONLY in Dunedin that was NOTED by the promoters so they may not come to Dunedin Next time due to all the NEG here.
Which they did not get in Christchurch nor Auckland, that is directly from Craig Douglas himself
He is also getting an ice rink for Wellington and Hamilton so instead of bitching lets get up there and help expand our sport.
Also my ex wife is responsible for government grants for sports. If we have a high profile we get the money ie the squeeky wheel gets the oil.
I sat beside John KEY for lunch a few months ago that they did NOT even know ice hockey was played in NZ. Just because you lot think everyone knows that is not the case, We live under a rock or in a bubble.
so once more THIS HAS LIFTED OUR PROFILE.
And yes Chris he the promoter has gone home with a very big profit, now others may get in on the act and you will get your clean business men
    HA HA,.
    I’M out of here

Perhaps the knockers here could complain to the Sth African Rugby Union about the 2nd class side that they fielded against the allblacks in the weekend…. fraudulent based on your very high stds  .. perhaps you should also complain to the SFO, Commerce Commission and Fair Go….

    just sayin

Would have thought they might have dedicated 5 seconds to Parry being taken away in an ambulance, seeing it was a major event in that game?

Lighting in the two auckland rinks were way below the levels acceptable for good photography  – and worse than last year.  Avondale had 3 lights out as did botany and the upstairs gym at botany hasnt hasnt being lit up during games – so the combination is very difficult lighting.  Sandrina Huish took the photos at Avondale – but  it required a lot of effort on each photo to get them to the quality they are at – and Sandrina is as frustrated as I am.
The Botany rink seems to have fixed 2 of their lights  – but one continues to play up – and even if they are all working – the quality of the  light is still an issue. The colour of the lighting also varies significant affecting white balance.
Dunedin is better than either Auckland rink – provided they turn on the curling rink lights and all the lights above the rink.

Its harder when the teams play in dark colours – esp Thunder vs Admirals. (it was hard for the teams too as pucked were “passed” to opposition players).

I’m now confused as to which site you are bitching about…

nzicehockey.co.nz – (the NZIHF site) has had a change of webmaster during the season – and seems to have many current articles and links – approx 10 articles since 1st Aug.

I also notice on this site that each of the National Teams pages has current (and past information) – check one out (check them all out…)

The events page seems to have lots of new information on it – I noticed that the NZ Nationals in Gore (for PeeWees Junior Women) had good coverage  – and the upcoming Skate of the Nation seems to be well publicised.

I see that they link to the flickr site and seem to well used throughout the site.

The new Junior Elite league seems to be well covered.

I’m sure that the Webmaster is looking for constructive input and would, based on my discussions with him, welcome input suggestions, corrections and even criticism.

Crikey you blokes are a bunch of knockers…

I have tried and successfully avoided writing that a number of times in these forums.. but I couldnt stop myself this time… and arguably I had stronger feelings on other topics …

Would you like to offer your services to write game reports ?

Do the Game reports on NZIHL help the rest of those interested ?
Does Murray Mexted ever make pro Wgtn or Pro All Blacks commentary ?
Has the NZIHL website overall improved year on year ?
The Team lists / photos / interviews  etc… help ?

The length of the game can (and has been) be constrained by the rinks next  commitment.  Therefore we have seen (in a final), the change to clock time vs stop time during 3rd Period.

    The event rules state

“8.4 Insufficient time to play Overtime and/or Penalty Shoot Out

If there is insufficient time to carry out overtime the teams can go straight to a penalty shoot out (the referee to decide). Should there not be enough time to do either the game will be declared a draw with 1 point awarded to each team.”
