Excellent game – lots of intensity and physical play, clean game, but on the edge – well handled by the refs. The winning goal came right at the end of the game – hugh pressure on Dunedin net throughout the game 60 shots (to 20 or 28). Rick played in goal and had a blinder. The goals thunder scored capitalised on their opportunities – Swarm once again missed net, hit posts and when it was on, were defeated time and time again by Rick. Well done – should make for an exciting season – sorry photos taking longer…

I hear that the Thunder have a very strong team this year – certainly the exclusion of some Dunedin based players must indicate the quality of the players and goalies available.

I’m not sure whether Mongolia would be able to field a team capable of stretching the Thunder.
http://forums.internationalhockey.net/s … tcount=126My 2 eldest (16 & 18 ) really like them (no affiliation or interest). They both prefer the blade shape / sharpness to a hand cut sharpen. Cost has been neutral so far – and will only improve as the chassis cost is averaged across more sharpens/blades.
The 16 yr old got new skates prior to the U18 trip to beijing – and after 10-days of trying to get used to the lightweight blades on his new eastons – was struggling – and wanted back to t-blades on the new skates.. done -and he wont go back..
