I think you will find that the Swarm had 2 relatively comfortable wins over the Admirals during the last week! These have flown under the radar in the south.

plod16Memberany one brave enough to predict a score for the saturday nights games?
seems that opinion is divided on how well the southern local derby will go or is the best bet a draw at the end of regulation time?
plod16MemberIt didn’t look the ice was too bad but have seen worse. Crowd was between 50-75.
Good to see that the IBs are only travelling to Melbourne next year for Div 2.
plod16MemberBet they could add all the sports cliches to the results tho!!!
With some organising there could be a pre-season tournament somewhere with the three teams, possibly on a rotating basis between the rinks.
plod16MemberCRD won 4-2 in an even battle that could’ve gone STP’s way if they had capitalised on the opportunitys. Some frantic goal line activity by the Devils prevented a couple of certain goals from being scored.
Shots were apparently reasonably even and a low penalty count.
plod16MemberDevils verse Stampede at Tekapo tomorrow, any predictions??
Its good to see the alternative rinks being used for pre-season games. Maybe next year there could be a whole round of preseason games at those rinks.
plod16MemberYou should think of your mouthguard as an insurance policy, they might cost a bit to get a good one but a hell of a lot cheaper than going all the pain and effort to pay for new teeth.
I can think of a number of players who have lost teeth or suffered facial injuries while playing .
It would be worth noting that in the current environment with ACC (it is really just an insurance policy that everry wage and salary earner pays for) not covering some injuries and reducing their cover.
I could foresee the day and probably not far away when that they won’t provide any cover because you should have recognised that there is a reasonable risk of injury while playing contact sport. That is you were negligent in your actions and therefore void any cover/benefit when you get injured. Insurance companys are bloody good at getting out of paying for anything that they don’t have to.
plod16Member‘cos they probably left their brains in the locker room!
plod16MemberVince, does that mean that you’re attempting to try out and play for the two remaining teams that you haven’t played for??
heard fighting was spoken about again at a recent meeting, any thoughts?
