Mr Dunedin, you are mean.. however something tells me you still owe me a big mac combo, so hurry and pay up! Youv avoided paying me for ages, and im getting hungry..

I know it will be hard for you to part with such a luscious burger, and juicy medium fries along with a sundae upgrade, but face the facts, you have lost way too many bets and stefs gonna start cutting fingers…

Yeah last night was a bit embarrassing after a really good season for us, and people have been very happy with the way our team has concentrated on playing actual hockey until this point. I think everyone was a little frustrated out there as we havent won a game this season, but theres really no excuse at all for all the other stuff. There is so much bullshit hype about fights and who hates who before games, such a waste of time and so frustrating given that we have played incredibly well when the focus was the hockey and not who was going to smash who..

The refs are in no way to blame, they did an awesome job out there last night. I dont think “Keith” on here is actually Keith, but if you are serious, you sound like an idiot. To imply that it is their fault for not calling penalties, and therefore also their fault for fights breaking out is a pretty stupid argument. The older guys should skate away for sure, I mean you look stupid punching a kid half your size – but to be honest our guys are old enough to chose to not involve themselves in things like this also and are just as much to blame with the winding up etc etc. Only problem I have is that I have heard quite a few people talking about using winding up the junior guys as a tactic to win games, because to be honest it gets to the team when there is any incident like this, some of them stop thinking about playing hockey, and the focus on the bench becomes revenge.

The first game this DIHL season had some rough stuff, we got smoked something like 7-0. Last game of the season we had heaps of rough stuff, and got beaten 8-3. The games in the middle were great games, everyone played hard and wanted to play good hockey so no one even worried about throwing punches around. The frustrating part is the potential for great hockey from our team, many people have mentioned this. Guess we will see what happens next week in finals, one less fight and one more win would be nice.

Hey everyone, its 4:06am and im doing a philosophy essay, and just made the greatest discovery of my philosophical career to date. God im wise. Im like an asian, but a really holy one.

Given that the Red Devils won the final, and also given that the Thunder bet the Red Devils last season, does that mean that the Dunedin Thunder are technically the best team in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League??!!

Please leave your comments and opinions on the issue, but based on the facts mentioned above, I think this argument works… Im pretty sure…

    Sup.

How does the final weekend work? How many games are there on what days, and how is the winner decided?

Vince if your devils choke again and dont win the final, you owe me Maccas. Actually because I didnt score on you, it will cancel out the big mac combo I currently owe you…

Dude, we were fully outplayed tonight, simple as that. They snuck in backdoor and made us pay bigtime.. we didnt have the jump tonight that I thought we had in the first game. Maybe stampede played better, who knows..

Cheers to all the fans for coming out, and the queenstown crew for making the trip and filling our stands hahah! Na its always good to have a passionate hockey crowd there, so much respect for that.

There was stuff going either way, I recon the reffing was great, penalties were pretty even either side. That young guys all good, apart from when he sent me off for 10 mins for smacking the boards in frustration ahaha. Didnt know there was a penalty for that??

We have a lot of things to work on, and yeah Im still a pussy when it comes to the contact hahaha. Should have retired by now, getting too old for this sh*t haha.

Who the f**k is “guest”?! Sounds like a weirdo…

Just quietly, Toms key to success is a 1 dollar McDonalds frozen coke before each game…

Na seriously though such a great moment for him, think that makes him the youngest ever Thunder player to score a goal.. if you want to get technical. No wonder he has so many fans on this forum…

Yeah also take into account the quality of shots Rick is facing, also not a good thing, but they have been far tougher saves to make.. many point blank in front. Rick is by far the best goalie in the league theres no doubt. And hes way hotter than Zak.

This is going to be a sick, sick game in Chch. I think Stampede will win both, we all know the Devils dont like pressure based on the last few years in big games. Devils ARE looking better and more confident than ever I think, but the depth and experience in the Stampede squad is pretty impressive, and they will definately be more physical i think. Sure Argyle will throw his weight around as always. This will be an epic matchup boys.

Yeah man, massive respect to that ref (young guy, forgot his name?), I was just saying how well he reffed the game the other night. Best ref out there in my opinion, he really let the game flow nicely. Didnt let the game get out of control, he let the players play, seems to really understand the game from both a players and refs point of view.. great stuff.

What the f**k??!! No ones replying to me as to how the team played!

Did we not have a coach on the bench for the whole 3rd period??!!

    That better not be true?
