Tom – Crosbys still gay. Heard a rumour Crosby was going to personally deliver the Cup to Ovechkin because he was scared Ovy will kill him next season and double his point total. Not far from the truth I recon. 52% of NHL players voted Cindy Crosby the biggest whiner… while Ovechkin won a majority of the vote when players were asked who they would most like to switch lives with.. hmmmm…

Hahahaha yeah Wick, I tend to stand around quite a bit and do sweet f.a these days.. its hard to come out of retirement back into the big league.
Wickaman, you will be proud to know I had about 5 shots on goal all weekend, better start scoring and playing well, would be gutted if Tom Wilson the Maccas eating sensation takes my spot… all those drive through frozen cokes have given him quite a wrist shot.. or maybe Pittsburgh winning the cup did it? Or Ovechkin not getting it? Not sure.
Will be interesting to see how the weekend goes against Red Devils, sounds like they have a good team, we better skate hard and light the lamp on you Vinnie!!! Are you starting?
I can see how it is viewed like that. A lot of people have expressed this opinion to me lately…
Problem is we are all training very hard, and its difficult to find extra time as it is with many of our players in University etc… most people dont have the time with other commitments etc..
Banana_ice, as long as you are helping and coaching etc, you can say what you are saying, however if you are just a player that turns up and plays, then you arent really entitled to make the claims that you are. Reason i say that is that many people who have discussed this topic with me dont actually help with the club in any way, which is a joke.
The reason I personally chose to stop coaching last year was mainly because I was at the rink so much i got so sick of the place and wasnt enjoying playing the game anymore. We need new people helping with coaching and management, and this does not have to come from Thunder. There is so much knowledge spread across the club. Everyone knows the basics of the game. Even if you say you are not a good coach, offer to pick pucks up and help with drills at a midget training (i know some of the parents have been skating less than a year and are awesome out there helping out with pee wees etc!!).
I expressed an idea of having one Thunder player a week at a pee wees training to help and basically just make an appearance, as we did this back home for inline and it was quite a special thing to have the kids practicing with advice from the older guys, the kids really loved it. Just a thought and would not take much to roster one player a week for an hour training..
Anyway just my thoughts, Banana_ice sorry if you are a dedicated parent or coach, my opinions are aimed at those not doing anything telling me how little the Thunder players do for the club, which annoys me.

Talked to a guy I know called Yaz who manages Southern Break, and hes all good to open up for us on Sunday if we have enough people to make it worth his while. ie. buy drinks.
They dont normally open on Sunday unless something is on, so as long as we have say, 20 people, and we are wanting to actually buy drinks, rather than just sit there, he will be all good to open up for us.
Just an option but need to know by tomorrow night, would be far better than the baa, as I should be able to get it put on the Big Screen at Break which would be pretty good.
Let me know, maybe everyone could bring a friend, girlfriend, f**k buddy, or whatever to boost the numbers. Yaz makes a smashing cocktail for the ladies out there.
Yes Kyle, you are right… but who makes a 19 year old a Captain in the NHL? Do you think the veterans on the team like Gonchar listen to his motivational speeches before the game? Hes just a marketing tool..

Hahaha but Active you are a pretty boy, and always try shoot high glove on me, so glove saves were simple with my cat-like reflexes. Some critics such as Ryan Wick have compared me to a young Roberto Luongo, others disagree and say more of a Patrick Roy in his prime… everones entitled to their opinion I guess.
And the thing about goalie to me is even if I let in 8 goals in a game, but make 1 really good glove save, it has all been worth it… if only I can figure out how to stop Steve Jackson…

Given the chances the IBs had, they definitely deserved to win, they simply couldnt put away the chances for a while there…
And I dont know about your blaming of the refs, there were a couple of very obvious trips that in my opinion should have been called on the Greek team at the end of the game. A disallowed goal that clearly crossed the line for the IBs also comes to mind. Its hockey, calls go either way.
What a game though, easily the most exciting game of New Zealand ice hockey iv seen. Cool to see the young guy win it for them in OT.
