Hey I wont be able to play the next 2 games in the Stanley Keg series coz of work (yes gutted as !!!!). Iv paid for all 4 games though, so if someone wants to take my spot ask Bode if you can take my place and have 2 free games. You must check with Bode first though, as she wants the teams to be even, so probably if youv played Premier grade or that kind of level you might be able to play…

Peace.

Word on the street is that the famous and historical Stanley Keg has arrived at the Dunedin Ice Stadium for the opening round of the 2008 Stanley Keg Playoffs.

An anonymous source stated they had seen the cup being “escorted by 2 white-gloved men” earlier today. Press and loyal Dunedin hockey fans have been waiting for an official statement from Stanley Keg officials whether or not She will make an appearance at Game 1 of the 4-game series.

Local Rink Manager, Zamboni operator, and Trainee skate sharpener Neil Gamble refused to comment as to whether the cup would show its silver face at the opening tonight.

There has been talk of Anti-Keg protests organised by 2007 Keg winner [b:1iljub4i][u:1iljub4i]Ryan Wick[/u:1iljub4i][/b:1iljub4i], as he is reported to [u:1iljub4i][b:1iljub4i]want the cup all to himself[/b:1iljub4i][/u:1iljub4i]. He has not been sighted in the Dunedin area recently which has allowed the series to go ahead. However, Officials have been on high alert today with rumours Mr Wick planned to Bomb the Dunedin Stadium in an Army fighter Jet given to him on loan from the Canadian Government, who voiced their disgust that the Dunedin-crafted replica of their beloved Stanley Cup was being made from a beer Keg. Furthermore, the Keg was not originally filled with Molson Canadian, which angered passionate and often overly-patriotic Canadian hockey fans, such as Mr Wick.

Tickets for tonights game are strictly a first-in-first-serve, ‘dont-tell-anyone-you-payed-me-for-this-ticket’ system. Door sales payable on entry to apprentice scam-artist Stefan King. Tickets $87.50 ONO (far cheaper than the official Canadian version of the cup), cash only, as Mr King would rather not have any record of a transaction taking place.

Puck Drop: 7:15pm.

Bro funny u ask, a few of us were just discussing that tonight! Would be mint to have a series even just a best of 5 game series or something, il have to get something going, mayb me and graham can put something together. It would probably be non checking, but we would want it a higher level than the dihl i suppose, depends on interest…

At this stage we will see, il get back to you in a week or so and let u know whats happening… we are aiming at about a senior/premier level i think, Tom and Regan if ur keen thatd be all good.

Respect,
STIFF

Hahahah yeah but im not a goalie by trade! I just did it because originally it was free. Hahaha

And some well respected hockey players have compared my glove hand to that of Roberto Luongo so guess there are mixed opinions out there….

A fine wine with too much room between its legs…. and a glove hand as slow as the process of fermentation….

Ouch – is there an original haha?… thanks for the Sharks photo, but not sure anyone wants to see the 2nd place team photo, its not important ahahahaha. The disappointment in their face is obvious, they tried so hard and given they are all 50 years of age and up; this may be their last DIHL

Im mildly tempted the make some alterations to the Old-timer photo in response, but given kids probably look at this forum and my designs are likely to be 18+, its probably better i dont…

That Sharks image is set as my background now, I just love how the photographer has captured the essence of victory, a true display of an elite team of athletes.

Yeah sorry if you get in trouble, no doubt Neil will see this, but the way I see it, if I get a 2 year ban from him, il be back for the 2011 Thunder season after a lovely break! How delightful. He’ll get over it by then hopefully.

Anyone have our lovely team photo yet? I think Huskie Larry has it maybe, but think it should be on the homepage/ in the paper/ on 3 news.

Wow these deals rival that of the mighty [b:369rv8l2]www.sk8.co.nz[/b:369rv8l2] – which I must mention is the site for all your ice hockey needs.

Dont buy from Rhys, if you do you are simply fuelling the ever increasing problem of Meth addiction in the youth of our community. Rhys, the first step is admitting you have a problem… “my name is Rhys and im a Meth addict” (all reply together): “hi Rhys”.

Talk to our friendly Christchurch staff, including Darrin Gordon, with years of service and customer care, not a questions will go unanswered about the fascinating world of ice hockey. SK8s prices [b:369rv8l2]eat Neil Gamble for breakfast[/b:369rv8l2] (why have bacon and eggs), so why not choose SK8 next time you are considering new gear or an upgrade??!! And if you want your skates sharpened go down to the Dunedin Ice Stadium, where you can have them sharpened by the sharpening machine previously owned by SK8!! Nice!!

Once again in case you have already forgotten, thats: [b:369rv8l2]www.sk8.co.nz[/b:369rv8l2]

or alternatively: go to http://www.google.co.nz and then enter a search for “sk8 ice hockey pro shop”, there are many ways to get there, I leave that up to your imagination.

Much love xoxoxox

The best part Kyle was the massively over-the-top attempt on my part to draw a penalty. Had to be done. Referees cant just get away with high sticking people ahahahahah.

Who has the photo of us after the game? I want to frame it and hang it on my roof.

No Ryan – Blake isnt a ruthless seal-bashing Canadian like you ahahahah.

Mmmm so the club now thinks im a druggie coz i had some ibuprofen before the DIHL game hahahah. Meeeaaaannnnn buzz, I was trippin hard.

Oi we got smoked in the Nationals for SNC, but there was some good play in there for sure. The Auckland team is pretty amazing, lets be honest theyr inliners, so that kinda makes sense haha… Wick will agree with that… But seriously I recon the Auckland SNC team could give most Superleague teams a run for their money, so much speed and flow. Some amazing skills for real.

Regan just txt me, Midgets won Gold easily, good on them!!

Apparently we now have another NZ player in the club, unconfirmed, but i think Regan Wilson made the New Zealand team. Hes been training hard and if true, this is very well deserved!! Well done Regan and the Southern Midgets!!
