Could be a fairly large turnout for Thunder trial next year then haha… Or maybe Rhys you should suggest to your father about putting some of his artificial ice surface down somewhere in Queenstown… could be an idea??

Because lets be honest about the situation. We will hunt them down in the end if they dont give it back, murdering family members along the way or simply leaving them fingerless. And if they actually do get the courage to give it back secretly, rent-a-cop Stiff will fingerprint it and do some expert CSI analysis using techniques hes seen on the TV show, revealing the thief anyway… I think it involves flour and water?
Then we can throw the perpetrator off lovers leap and make it look like no one else was involved… make the note up saying they “couldnt go on living with the guilt of stealing Harrisons phone – knowing they were seriously reducing his chances with his vast range of female “friends”…” It sounds like the perfect plan…Mabye harry faked it being stolen to claim the insurance, because it was quite dated, a new phone would be really nice…
Na but honestly we have to find these thiefs!!! Mabye its Neil or Simon making a bit on the side? Did I just say that? What do you think Rhys? Shall we interrogate Simon using our security guard and surf lifeguard rescue skills?
If you are caught you have to play against Rhys in a DIHL game and push him to the limit revealing the fists of fury!!! Or mabye we just burn them at the stake like it the old days and just claim to police that they were a witch, or committed adultery…
Yea man im probably keen for that!! Do we have room for a 3rd team? Tom and Regan might be able to play then? But no adult beverages mabye? It would be great experience for them to play against some of the IBs.
Anyone know where we will stay and all that? And approximate cost for the games etc? There will be good enough ice yes?
Mabye we can all crash on Richie McCutcheons floor in a slightly weird but team-bonding 12-way spoon?
Yea not being mean to Larry, its great he is doing it to allow us to play hockey, but I still think shorter seasons will generate more interest; at least at this stage.
Haha yea and goalies are playing for free, thats the only reason im playing DIHL as a goalie!
Remember the good old days of mixed DIHL teams in one big competition? How fun was that?!
Just reading up on this stuff, think Larrys idea with the DIHL is to create a proper in-house ice hockey league that is as competitive as the Southern League, for people who cannot travel away, or are not at the level to play representative hockey.
Speaking from personal experience, having organised many tournaments and league back home for inline; I suggested he make the league 2 seasons, not just one long season of 16 games or whatever. He didnt seem to take to this idea, but I think it is a waste of time trying to get everyone to commit to a full season like this. Im not saying im an expert or anything, but it seems logical to have shorter DIHL seasons to keep everyone interested?…
People need to see an end in sight. To have a final and champion within 7-8 weeks is far more desirable to players. They want to get to every game and it also puts more pressure on players to pay their fees (the fees are half the large sum of a full season). Talking to a few people about the DIHL, they turn up to some games, and not others, as there is no end goal in sight.
People also suggested that there should be 2 DIHL competitions: at the start and end of the year, when hockey finishes, as it will give the players some fun hockey to start or end the season. As we currently have the Thunder squad away and many people away with Southern League, im sure the lack of numbers is due to this.Anyway for next season is this long DIHL going to continue or are they going back to the shorter version?
Yea Larry rung me up and at that stage I was good to go to Alex, but had to work in the end which was gutting, so yeerrrr…

a) You are never going to use it. The ice hockey community is tiiiiiight, so if u are on the ice with Regans stick, you will get killed by a flying hip check… probably from Rhys McAlevey.
b) Regan has links and family ties with both the Japanese Yakuza and Triads of China, so dont kid yourself, they will find you, then kill your family, and take a finger a day until the stick is returned… if you dont need fingers, keep the stick but good luck trying to use it…
c) You really need to take a look in the mirror and ask: “What is it I want from life?” “How can I be of benefit to create a better and more trustworthy society?”. Mabye take a quiet stroll along the beach and think deeply about the pain you are causing poor Regan. If he snaps his stick, he is stickless, and being an upcoming star of Dunedin, you are putting his career at risk. How mean of you. Shame on you…

Aparently even though im probably the worst goalie in the league, an A-grade goalie cant play down, but im happy to fill in for Jaimee, as im sure shes going to take most of the prizes for athletics anyway!!!
