You should come back to adult beginners and consult with Bode and hit some people up for the second half of the season. There’s three or four who have arrived since the semester started who wouldn’t look out of place in a B grade game.
[/quote:dyk3iass]Bode and I have discussed it already, I think she has one player who wants to play.

[/quote:sp9wjvqp]Don’t think it was 6-3, I know it was at least 7-3, one comment in the changing room was that it was 8 something.
Yeah we had 2 Beasts, ones our captain and the other(s) fills in whenever we are short on players, which is normally all the time as we do not have enough players to have even one person sick and Rob and I are organised and make sure we have players to put on the ice.

btw it was Ritchies last game last night, he was one of our best players (and had played for grand total of two weeks before the DIHL pre-season started…) so we have lost a little of our fire power.
twoleftsMemberits at 6 jack
twoleftsMemberWe have two goalies, and 2 maybe 3 players. Still need more.

twoleftsMemberGot at least one goalie.

I spose the question to be asked is if there is enough people to form a third SNC team.
[/quote:2ncsl0ww]We were told by Jackie when we registered that if they canceled the womens league, they would stick us in another team. None of us have heard anything about it since.
April 24, 2008 at 5:30 am in reply to: Re: Wanted to borrow for several weeks of DIHL: Shoulder pads #8489twoleftsMemberit doesn’t matter any more, he is leaving in two weeks. So gutted, now we have to find a replacement goal scorer…
twoleftsMemberhow do people who registered to play in a now defunct team get to play in another team? I registered to play for the womens team… ” title=”Undecided” />
twoleftsMemberSorry Stef, although Jaimee is WAY better than you in goal ” title=”Wink” />, we thought we would ask a B-grade goalie to fill the spot.
Liv said she can play. So Liv will be in goal for the Bulls.
twoleftsMemberYou could say that Larry and I have now come to an agreement regarding everything. Everything stays as it is for now.

[/quote:2gvjigzn]I’m real curious to see how this works. We always had about 95% of the money in before anyone paid a game. I wonder how many people might end up viewing these first games as ‘freebies’ and how difficult it’s going to be to get the money out of everyone.
[/quote:2gvjigzn]As far as I know everyone has paid, except three former Bullfrogs and I am tracing them down. They only played one game, so do not qualify to pay the $20 for the pre-season games, they have to pay $15 as a casual player.
If anyone knows of anyone else who has not paid, they should contact me or Larry.
twoleftsMemberI’ve agreed with everything he has put forward so far, except this thing about A-grade players in the B-grade as he really should not have sent the email out before he had a concrete ‘yes, I’m ok with that, send it out’ from me. Which he never got. And never would have got.
We have actually worked together fine, until now. Larry has this great big plan for the DIHL, DIHA and even SIHL. As his ideas for the DIHL were impressive and exactly what hockey players REALLY want (ie. more hockey) I went along with it, just making sure he kept things real, ie. allowing under 16’s in the DIHL, coinciding breaks with uni/school breaks etc. and allowing about a month for people to pay the fees (which had more than doubled from last year). He was orrigionally going to have the league 16 plus, (18 for A-grade) and fees were going to be due for all players the week of the first pre-season game.
Once Larry got over the aversion to anything website/email oriented he was ok to work with.
twoleftsMemberSo, I am an upset team manager, and a furious DIHL organiser.
As some of you may know, Larry has decided that A-grade players helping B-grade teams can only have their stats registered for one team, the B-grade team. Which stinks in my opinion, an opinion shared by the rest of my team, which has one A-grade player in it. I told Larry that A-grade player was happy to have his stats only recorded for the A-grade team, as that was HIS team, he is only helping the B-grade team out. I
think we successfully argued for his A-grade stats to be the ones recorded, although Larry tends to change the rules whenever he wants.Larry is also saying that as of next year there will be no A-grade players allowed what so ever in the B-grade. He is citing DIHL members agreeing with him that this creates an ARMS RACE, or STACKED teams. As I am the B-grade organiser, it is me people should come to about concerns with B-grade teams.
I would also like to say thanks to the A-grade players who give up their time and energy to ‘coach’ the B-grade teams in the art of actually playing a game of hockey. With out them, B-grade teams would be playing ‘follow the puck’. They do a great job and the B-grade players really do appreciate their help.
If anyone has any suggestions, complaints, comments about the B-grade, they can contact me

[/quote:2khrxv9v]This fall, NHL Premiere expands to two European locations: Prague, Czech Republic and Stockholm, Sweden.
It is a stated goal of the NHL to grow the game of hockey beyond the borders of North America. In support of that goal, the League is doubling NHL Premiere in size and presenting four regular-season NHL games in Europe. For the first time in NHL history, on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 5, two NHL games will be played in Europe on the same day. The Prague games feature the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning in a home-and-home series at Sazka Arena. The Penguins and Ottawa Senators will play home-and-home games in Stockholm at the Globe Arena.
