shakespeare knew the rules prior to breaking them.
vpatrolMembernot associated with Moose means not wearing Moose jersey’s but Moose is promoting it and recruiting the players according to their website.
I don’t think a throw together team is good competition. We need structured teams who play together regularly.
vpatrolMemberGreat article.
vpatrolMemberawesome job ladies! Definately the class of the competition.
vpatrolMemberSouth Africa goes down 7-2 to mighty NZ! SA barely had any shots. Well done!
vpatrolMembereither that or the Thunder scouting staff has been busy doing their rounds and have submitted their reports?

[/quote:3tu52ofv]We don’t have to go to the game to care. We are on the forums and at the rink doing things that have nothing to do with our own playing because we give a damn about the game in NZ. Anything that could put a massive dent in the games future is of a concern to us. I personally won’t sit back and watch. If the promoters were willing to actually work with the hockey community instead of trying to convince the naysayers that they are 100% right, then we wouldn’t be negative. Plus I don’t like being lied to and I don’t like the promoters assuming I’m too dumb to notice.
vpatrolMemberThirteen beat me to it. I’ll send an apology to the promoters should the games prove to be all they claim however there is risk of damage to the game and its fragile but growing reputation in NZ. Two guys who know squat about the game are wielding a heck of a lot of public perception power.
vpatrolMemberwicked job!
vpatrolMemberI like foam fingers and Prince William references. Not sure where they got the american hockey reference from….Kate Middleton. Can’t recall the fireworks displays at the dozen NHL games I’ve been at. Perhaps it had something to do with an indoor venue….2nd in line to the throne. Wonder where the 100 million came from. Promoters must have friends at westpac to get a line of credit that big. Or maybe they included the cost of the arena’s in their figures…Pike River…Victoria…Queensland….lost puppies etc etc.
vpatrolMemberI thought this was a whistle blower post. I wanted to know who was tattling on who. Instead its only about dirty ol refereeing. Disappointed.
vpatrolMemberTheir “charity” auction seems to have been pulled by trademe. Appears to have been a low down attempt at advertising their game in chch.
vpatrolMemberskill flux unit per dollar is gonna be pretty low compared to nzihl then isn’t it Chris?
vpatrolMemberhow else will the bottom half teams get wins? Someone has to keep Chicago and Detroit from getting the number 1 draft pick.

[/quote:2o1k0qh2]So charging NHL prices (top market prices) but you only get potentially 66-75% of the game time? Count me in especially cause my favorite nhl superstar will be on the ice for 50% of the game.
